Meyer stepping down

LOL that's hilarious. You make some wild-azz claim and when asked for proof you say it is up to me to disprove it. Bigfoot exists!!! Disprove it!

How so. Tebow played in the games and contributed. That alnoe proves he was part of why Meyer won the NC that year.

Show me evidence that Bigfoot existsm and you have a point. There is evidence of Tebow playing during Meyer's first NC run.

They think that because the truth is they can get almost any coach they want. It's frickin Florida.

who cares? urban recruited tebow and newton

who's to say he couldnt get another great dual threat QB? another percy type player is harder for us to recruit

florida is not miami...miami doesnt back out of any team..and miami players actually have decent nfl careers..

Very true. And if he had done that, the debate over Meyer dependent on Tebow would be squashed. He didn't and thus the speculation that he quit because he don't feel he can do it without Tebow.

That's the whole point.

I kinda wish he'd stay. I want CDD to beat him in the Swamp next season...Now even if we win, they'll just say, "it's because we have a new coach"

Paterno has already announced that he was returning. Meyer got convinced to come back but is leaving. There's no better time to announce it than now. It gives them time to get a coach and salvage something in their recruiting class. Announcing that he's leaving in January would only destroy their recruiting class. I'd have preferred that, but anyone with a clue wouldn't do that to a University that means so much to them.

What he said.

For as much hate as the OP has for UF, he sure loves starting threads about UF. :)

The SEC East isn't exactly chock full of HoF coaches right now, and UF has the resources to attract a top flight replacement.
