Total fallacy. New England States had an established State church well after ratification. This notion that the US wasnt founded as a Christian Nation isn't supported by fact.

We weren't founded with an established Christian Church true, although some States still had established Churches past ratification, but we were founded by Christian men and Christian ideals (Madison was a Christian as well). We were a Christian Nation. No one can deny that.

No one? George Washington himself denied it

The country was not founded by Christian men and Christian ideals no matter how many times you claim it. Many of the foundations of this nation came from ideas that predate Jesus and the NT. Even those who were knew to keep it out of govt. That's what made it so groundbreaking

We weren't founded on Christian ideals, it is just coincidence that most of the Founders were Christian and the only established State Churches after our Founding just happened to all be Christian. Good grief.

The Founders who advocated against an established Church did so so other branches of Christianity could worship freely. They didnt do so in hopes their new Nation would become an immoral atheistic cess pool.

The point is that people other than Christians can handle democracy as well as Christians. What matters is education and ethics.
America is more Christian than any other belief system so why are we in our current state?

These were very well read men. They pulled from thousands of years of history and philosophy to form the guidelines for govt.

We also still had segregated schools. The KKK was still killing people. Police raided gay night clubs and beat the piss out of the terrified patrons…etc. Forcing/ encouraging sex change procedures on minors is abhorrent. But stop acting like the olden days was such a utopia.
