It will not be a popular opinion on this message board, but yes, soldiers are legitimate targets for any resistance organization in my mind. It is when guerrilla fighters start adopting tactics that solely targets civilians or civilian infrastructure is when they cross the line into being a terrorist group.

The Muslim community has been in murfreesboro for many years. I've lived and worked within 15 minutes of the old building they had off church street just outside downtown murfreesboro for several. It has been no secret they were there, and there weren't any issues from either side. You think people just decided one day to become "intolerant" of them?
As I've said, many issues came to light regarding this mosque and its leadership. Rawash and his extremist views which he made no secret about.. and don't give me the "he was suspended "line. Suspended for what, a few weeks then reinstated? I bet that changed his extremist views.. the guys a senior member of the mosque, the possibility of him influencing others with these views is a legitimate concern. No one can honestly say otherwise.
If the icm truly cared, they would have severed ties with him. Or not choose to say their desire is to "establish an Islamic stronghold" in the Boro, which was quickly removed from their site.
These are valid concerns. Taking issue with them doesn't make one intolerant. Well, in today's society guess it does. We can't hurt anyone's feelings.
