Most physically painful thing you have ever experienced?

Woke up one night with really bad abdominal pains. Hurt so bad that I stood up on the side of the bed and went immediately to the floor and curled into a ball. It was just really bad diarrhea, but man my intestines felt like a war zone.

Another thing that I'm sure many on here have experienced is bad acid reflux. Waking up coughing in the middle of the night and having the back of your throat feeling like hot grease is never fun. I'm usually up no less than an hour waiting on the burning sensation to go away.

I've got bad acid reflux and it's horrible when it gets in your upper throat and nose. I've vomited because of it quite a few times.

I feel your pain. Mine is awful, and I just popped 6 tums.

The 2 acl's I popped were really painful (as was the pt afterwards) but the most pain was from a pinched sciatic nerve. I couldn't move for almost 2 weeks without crying out in pain.

I cut a hunk out of my thumb one time and it was deep enough that the nerves were exposed. I was keeping it covered and compressed on the way to the ER. But then, I wanted to see if the bleeding had slowed down. When the air hit those exposed nerves...that's the worst thing I've ever felt.

When I was 12, I fell face first on ice on the playground. I chipped one of my front teeth so bad that the root was hanging out. It took almost 48 hours to get it repaired. Exposed nerves are ridiculously painful.

Fire.

Caught my left leg on fire. 2nd and 3rd degree burns.

Then 3 days later finally going to the ER. I was tied down to a steel table and the area was scrubbed with steel wool. They heard me screaming the entire floor.

Steel wool! Crap

I saw a video of something like that and they used a cheese slicer to take off the deep dead skin

They'd have to tie me down. I got my ear bit off by a German Shepard when I was 3( thank God I don't remember), but my mom said they had to put me in a straight jacket and hold me down to sew it back on.

They strapped me down.

My leg turned green. Doctor said I was close to losing my leg over it. Even death. Had the infection gotten in my blood stream.

All over a girl too. A guy poured gas on me while I was standing next to a bonfire.

Dang that's brutal. I hope he went to jail.

I would probably have been out looking for revenge. He had more control than i would have had

Whatever happened to just fighting? Now its stuff like this or beat someone until they are in a coma. Crazy world!

No. I had no idea at the time. My back was to the fire. He threw gas on the fire while I was standing there. Saw me catch on fire and said nothing. Next thing I know, I'm on the ground rolling around. They eventually poured the beer cooler on me to put me out.

Seeing your skin run down your leg is a hell of a site. Not to mention the smell.
I didn't go to the dr for 3 days. Thought i could "walk" it off. By day three it was green. I couldn't walk and was in tears.
My buddies picked me up and took me to the hospital. Baptist east in memphis.

I'll never forget it.

Dang I feel for you

Tore my ACL second year of college. Male rehab guy comes in the room after a couple of days and grabs my leg and kind of shakes it. 'How's that leg doing?' I swear I could have levitated off the bed and kicked his ass right then, but resisted the urge. Another day later, the team came to visit me. I had these electric things pasted on my leg that sent electric impulses to make you flex. When the team came in the room I went to turn it all the way down - instead, turned it all the way up. Not fun..

Would of killed the guy after I got healed up.. Burns are horrible.. Yep steel wool pad is what they use or a brush like pad..

It may be a tie between getting bit by a dog and being severely sunburned.

I got a severe case of sunburned which resulted in my skin peeling on my face and my neck. I think it took 4 to 5 days for my skin to heal.

My dog got hit by a car. I found out the hard way this results in the dog going into a violent hostile mode so best not to go toward him or until 3-4 minutes later.
After approaching my dog immediate after getting hit he bit my hand which was very shocking as it happened so unexpected and was harrowing. Then even worse there was stitches with a needle

I have a VERY high pain threshold so things that are agonizing for most have never bothered me near as bad. The things that stand out to me as being quite painful though are:

Kidney Stones - Pissing Blood is no fun as well as the stabbing pain and everything else. Didn't really take too much in the way of pain killers. 97% sure this is the most painful thing you can experience as a man and not be permanently harmed.

Riding in the back of a ****ty plane that pressurization problems. I honestly wanted to die during that plane ride since it lasted for a couple hours. Nothing made it better.

Foot getting ran over- Got ran over by a large trailer that was hauling a couple tons worth of hogs. In shock after the first time my foot got ran over I let the second tire go over it as well. I couldn't move my foot for a couple hours and had deep tire tread marks, but nothing was broken. I believe nothing was broken because I have one of the most severe cases of flat footedness my orthopedist has ever seen. This is also probably also the reason my pain threshold is so high since I'm basically constanty in a state of pain.
