Nathan Peterman, The Forgotten QB

Why not Nathan Peterman? The kid had one bad game when he was hurt..... maybe it is not having confidence in Worley.. maybe it is wanting to have hope that something better is out there... maybe it is wanting a more dynamic playmaker... maybe it is wanting a better runner.... maybe it is a combination of these things but I want Nathan Peterman as my QB..

Go Vols and lets play football boys

This is being discussed at length in multiple other threads at the top of the page. Your best bet is to read through a couple of them, friend.

Ok..... this needs to stop. I know, the idea is fun, the unlikely hero that's going to rise from the ashes and save our program, but I'm sorry, that's just not realistic. Peterman may be much more talented than the Florida game would lead us to believe, but Justin Worley is the QB for The University of Tennessee.

Worley has the experience, he has the arm, he has the first win over a Top 10 team in the last 3 starting QB's, he spent his summer in camps. I'm happy for Peterman, it takes serious determination to bounce back like he has, but he's securing his spot at #2 right now. He will be a sound back-up, but he has done nothing on the field in a game setting that should lead anyone to believe he belongs there more than Worley. This is Worley's year, Peterman will be the man to beat in 2015.

Im pulling for Peterman at this point, some on here are too attached to Worley and I don't understand the obsession.

Just when I thought butch was turning the program around a player gets arrested.

If Worley has improved on his game by not short-hopping his passes then I think he gets the nod. At times he was as bad as some of the videos I've seen of celebrities throwing out the first pitch of a baseball game.

Good grief! Worst QB to ever put on an orange jersey. Bar none. Name just one QB that's been worse. The kid tried but he just ain't got it. I really hope he does well but I just can't see all this Peterman love all of a sudden.

His 1/2 against FL was just miserable to watch. I also challenge you to find me a QB with a worse 1/2 of football in any color jersey. We have a really good, not great but serviceable, QB in Worley. He will be the starter. Everything else is just coach speak.

What would you do if he got picked as the starting QB?

These threads bring back memories of the Great Debate....Manning or Stewart, who should start???

I hope this resolution turns out as good as that one did...with the exception of this QB beating Florida of course

So one half of football qualifies to determine a player is the worst QB ever. While I agree that the limited action he did see was atrocious, I don't think he should never get a chance again. He's been putting in the work and apparently it has been showing.

If Butch feels like he's the guy, then who am I to say otherwise. And what's with everyone now acting like Worley is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Some of the people on here were the same people last year saying Worley was done and should never start another game again (including me). I will defer to the coaches on the QB decision (the guys who evaluate the QB's) and root for the Vols every Saturday

Apparently you werent around for the Joey Matthews Aj Suggs experiement. Worleys first half against bama was pretty bad, there isnt a SEC caliber QB on the roster IMO. The play makers are there but there isnt anyone to get them the ball. People need to temper expectations for this year and brace themselves.

I'm pulling for the best QB who gives us the best chance to win this year. All I have to go off of at this point was the QB play from last year.

Worley was bad at times but showed improvement and good game management skills vs Georgia and SCar. Dobbs showed flashes vs Mizzou and Ky, was more athletic and showed some promise and potential IMO. Peterman was the worst QB I've seen in 40 years of watching college football. That pretty much sums it up for me.
