He had to share catches with another 4 star last year.I'd be surprised if Leacock finishes as a three star. Just got a Michigan offer a month or so ago, and is 6'2, 200 pounds, and can run a 10.8. Not a 3 star athlete imo.
I’d also bet dollars to donuts if Bama wanted him and he committed there he’d go from a 3 star to a 4 or 5 soon after.
Your right there, they were better at making people miss. But when Gault could just go straight it was like a watching a rocket. He was the fastest player on the field for sure. GBO!I think Pickens and Patterson were both better open field runners in that they could stop/start and make people miss. Gault just had great straight line speed. And he was an example of track speed translating to football, which it doesn't always do.
Carl was one one of the best all around athletes we ever had. Good on both sides of the ball. Punt returner, receiver, defensive back when needed. Hope Seldon turns out like Carl Pickens!! GBO!!!Interesting discussion, Carl Pickens was one who did not appear to be flying, but e’rbody seemed to be in slow motion. It’s the damndest thing! Cliff Branch had speed and route running ability. Track guys = straight ahead speed, lateral movements are not needed. It’s all in the hips, just ask Shakira . Gotta have a good triggerman too
Well, we recruited two studs.I hope so. Need him to step up since we couldn't bring in a transfer.
And maybe Whitehead could give us more.Well, we recruited two studs.
The transfer back wasn't a huge need.
Just means the the two freshman will need to be ready to contribute.
Wright was ready as a freshman, and both Williams-Thomas , and Sampson are better prospects imo.
Evans looked a 2nd rd running back when he was healthy. And maybe Whitehead could give us more.
The real question is
Will anyone be as good as Tiyon Evans?
-VQWhich brings us to who is next and we believe that will be Nathan Leacock. Leacock has been close the last several weeks but has continued to push things back. As of now we expect him to do something in the next 7-10 days.
Yeah just need to get deeper. Need Wright and Whitehead to be better and at least JWT able to contribute right away.Evans looked a 2nd rd running back when he was healthy.
I'm going to say no, but thoae guys have a different attitude than Evans. A better attitude.
Evans left because he felt Heupel was running him ragged while he was hurt.
There's truth to that, but it was one game during one series, and he got bent out of shape.
So they can duplicate or replace his numbers i think. I'm more worried about our passing game and keeping HH healthy.
