Hey OP do u remember 2 yrs ago we were getting blown out of games by our major rivals??? This past season we were competitive vs them all. Other than Bama. (Please dont come back with Vandy cause they benefited from the situation). This increase in competitiveness to some shows that coaching wasn't as incompetent as u may think. Our improvement in the O (ie OL and running game) alone showed some of us that with time and able to dedicate proper resources the incompetent coaching (like u and many like to say) wasn't so incompetent.

Yes the D was bad, but new coach (one that may or may not have been dooley's choice) plus trying to transition to a different scheme, always made that a possibility. Changing was a big risk and it failed. But calling him incompetent for it shows immaturity and ignorance.

It didn't matter who was coaching our defense last year. They were slow and couldn't wrap up a 10 year old at times. You are right, thank god we get most of them back.

We lose our 3 best players on offense. No one knows who is going to be the qb. No one knows who will start at wr or rb. The only safe thing is our offensive line.

Oregon isn't going to be as good? Have you lost your mind? Florida vulnerable? You do realize they return nearly everyone and have a top 3 recruiting class, right? Getting south Carolina and Georgia at home is great, but they will be top teams in the sec and nation again. We aren't a top team right now. Tennessee will be extremely lucky to win 6 games with that schedule. If jones wins 6, I consider it a job well done.

We all have to realize that the process of rebuilding has taken another step back. That we aren't nec starting over, but the growing pains will be evident. I think this team will fight hard for jones and his staff, but the schedule is and would be too hard for any one that took over this year.

Oregon will be breaking in a new coach, Florida can be between just look at Louisville. Tennessee has a good track record of beating good Georgia teams. And USCe is a flash in the pan. Not saying Tennessee will beat them all but they can.

See how well that worked out?

We are looking at 4 or 5 wins max mext year. Guys we suck right now with our D where it is and the O loses we face. We are not getting any big shot recruit to quickly change that either.

Vols will be improved dramatically on defense and be a formidable force on offense. CBJ IS A DIFFERENCE - MAKER!! GONNA BE FUN TO WATCH. Won't predict a number but more than 6 and threat to win with this coach all year and finish with a BOWL GAME. CBJ will bring a Natl Championship to Vols in his time here. He is gonna continue to win like he has done everywhere and will BE A GREAT COACH!!
