3 losing seasons. If you want a team full of 5 stars go pull for Bama. You know the team full of 5 stars that were out played by an A&M team full of 3 stars. Maybe we should go and get some more 5 stars like Brice Brown, Nukeese Richardson, DaRick, or Janzen. See how good those turned out for us. Stars are not everything fellas.

That team full of 5 star players (Bama) won the Natl Championship last year and is playing for the Natl Championship again this year even though they lost to a team full of 3 stars. Oh and that team of 5 stars won a Natl Championship in 2009.

I believe that I would take the team of 5 stars over 3 stars any day of the week!

Gruden disciple, How many 5 star high school athletes has Gruden recruited? How many times has gruden beat Alabama? How long will it take you to realize that Gruden is not going to coach at Tennessee, not now or in the future? I suggest that you get over it or become an Alabama fan. Stanford, Louisville, Wisconsin, northern Illinois, Boise State, West Virginia, Aurburn (not top classes until after they won national championships), Notre Dame have not had top 5 recruiting classes. You can win and win in January with good but not great recruiting classes. Don't understand why we complain about a rivals 4*? We used to say hey he is a rivals 4* and it doesn't matter what the others say. Now we disregard rivals and focus on the lesser websites ratings. For instance, we would say foster was a 3* on scout.com but they don't know what they are talking about because he is a 4* on rivals. And we would brag how we had a 4* and disregard the other sites. People jump on board and enjoy the instates that we are getting. Go butch and suck it all naysayers.

Here here! I think getting Wharton to be the first on board and he's a 4* shows that CBJ is not sticking to just the 3* & under kinda guys and has landed someone we'd have most likely missed out on due to how the previous coaching staff went about handling in state talent. Seems he's at least trying to correct that mistake.

Good grief people!! Some of you act like Saint Saban only recruits 4&5* players. Since 2010 (I will include this years commits) he has recruited and/or signed 37 3* players. So his classes are NOT full of 4 & 5* recruits. I don`t know how many of those signed are actually playing but that just goes to show you star gazers that even Saban is smart enough to know that 3* recruits can be solid players.

It doesn't matter what I think or you think. He is the best corner in the nation. All corners/ safeties get beat at some point. Deon got beat, Woodson gets beat, Berry gets beat. Peyton used to abuse Ed Reed in his hayday because Reed would gamble against him. You would think that a Bama fan would understand football but you are proof that I am wrong in my thinking. It's one thing to get beat a couple of times. I can count 7 TDs in 4 games that Banks gave up without even having to rewatch. That's not even counting the big plays he gave up that weren't scores. It's all well and good to look fantastic against Jackson St, South Alabama, and Kentucky. But you aren't the best corner unless you show up against the best competition.

Right now what I want is a solid recruiting class that fits our needs. You are not going to flip a majic switch and fix our needs. All that I pointed out was that Bama who is loaded with 5 stars was beaten by a team full of 3 stars that were coached up. Would I love to have a squad of 5 stars? Yes and never said I didn't want them. I want 5 stars that are not of questionable character though. Or you end up with the 5 stars we have gotten lately. The past 4 years we have not landed a single 5 star that I can remember who panned out.

One exception doesn't negate the rule. Florida and LSU are both loaded with 4 and 5 stars and beat the same A&M team you just mentioned.



Now I get it. You watched, at most, the first quarter of the game. A&M had to intercept Bama in the endzone late in order to preserve a 5 point win. That's hardly "beating the brakes off..."

Defending champs losing at home to a bunch of 3 stars = brakes beaten off of you. A&M to me was in control of that game the entire way.

You can't win an argument with illogical examples. Meaning you can't use illogic when using logic. I used the example earlier if I had a horse would I rather have a unicorn. That proposition is nonsensical due to my parameters (a unicorn does not exist). However, if you played football and were a good corner and you were good enough to win the Thorpe award then yes, I would consider you the best db in the nation.
