Agree. Lots of fans do not like because of the show cause, but it has gotten to where we are worse than the poor step child. Tressel is a good Coach nobody wants and seems like Tennessee is a good coaching job nobody wants. Good match!

Are we a bunch of misfits? For the 3rd time in our Coaching search since the firing of Fulmer, we have been turned down more times than the sheets at a cheap motel. Our coaching search once again by an inept AD has become an embarrassment. Lots of posts on here about Charlie Strong and how he was not good enough to come here, Well HE Turned us down, not the other way. I say we offer Tressel or Petrino before we become the laughing stock of the whole country, if we have not already.

Hart and Cheek should get out of the way and just let the top 3 boosters pick a coach and manage the deal.

I hate to say this but just like it had to get really really bad and really really obvious Dooley must be fired; it may need to get really really obvious that either Cheek, Hart or both must be fired. I've got a feeling some people with serious pull in and around the governors office are going to have a good idea about any disfunction.

I can't fathom why Cheek would be involved in a coach search other than shake the newly hired coach's hand. I can only imagine why Gruden didn't want to come.

You made a good point in Gruden. No wonder he wanted full control of the department. Maybe all the coaching candidates are seeing the dysfunction. Wonder why Hart got fired from FSU? Lol

Archie Manning talking about coaching changes didnt really hang on the UT Gundy offer, he said Fulmer should have never been fired.............the way it worked out, hindsight 20/20

I don't care what Archie Manning thinks, Fulmer was allowing the program to turn into a joke with the way his players kept getting arrested. Hindsight, hell.

Don't panic. I still think we will get a very good coach when all is said and done. In all honesty, I am glad Gundy turned us down as I think he is one more mediocre season away from being out at OSU. Strong, at the end of the day, has had one very good season at Louisville.

Fedora is still available who I think is an excellent coach and, of course, we have Petrino and Tressel. All is not lost by a long shot fellow Vol fans. Chins up!

I don't know all the coaches available but I am sure there are still coaches available. I'm sure tressell would be great. Even if we get the sanctions to come along with it. It would take Tennessee a few years to be good anyways.

If you were the coach of a team that got beat by a Dooley coached team, you are automatically eliminated from becoming the next coach at UT. JMO

I thought Strong would man up. But why should he leave an easier coaching job he's worked for three years after getting his salary doubled to equal or exceed our offer? Staying at Loui did not mean he wasn't attracted to the Tennessee position.
