As the original poll was posted on 4/26/10, maybe the pool should be reset and started again to see if the passing of the last two months has changed opinions.

I wouldn't go top ten but I think top 15 is almost a lock. Randolph I believe will grade out much better after this season barring another injury.

Is it me or does it seem like the way that coach DD is recruiting is the same as he was at LA Tech? It seems hes only going after 3* players because thats what he was used to going after.
He needs to start pushing hard on those 4* and 5* players. He knows he can pick em up if he pushed hard on them.

you realize he had actually recruited in the SEC prior to La Tech right?

Many 4 and 5 star guys wont commit for a while yet. Look at bama and uf. Even they have some 3 star guys committed. UF has 3 by rivals and bama has 5. They both have several 4 stars and bama has a 5 star because they are playing at a high level right now. Recruits see their programs as stable and a place they can win. UT will get back to that level, but it will take time and production on the field. That is the true variable. We don't know how the games will play out.

I think Bo doesn't doubt CDD. I think he doesn't like him. I don't see how anyone can't be giving him the benefit of the doubt with the quality of players talking about us and he hasn't coached a game. It's early and we'll see on NSD, but my skepticism has waned with every day he's been our coach. What about you, Bo?

I actually like his style and his handling of the media. But am not blindly sold on his experience or coaching ability. That is only because I havent seen it yet. I am very opened minded towards CDD and hope very much for him to be successful.

No hater here in me. But also not over the top with blind optimism. Just hopeful...GBO

It's hard to believe those two things about you when you actually believe we won't crack the top 20 in recruiting despite all of the postive news we've been getting about top notch recruits being highly interested in a coaching staff they haven't actually seen coach yet

Look at #20 in the last 5 Rivals recruiting rankings and tell me you honestly believe we won't at least do that this year...if you do that you'll be able to see why it's hard to believe you're "hopeful" and "open minded"

Well, we all have our opinions, don't we. Whether you believe me or not isn't really a concern of mine. I am very hopefull. I believe that a 20th ranked class may be hard to attain. I hope you r correct.. These recruits have no idea what will be put on the field for UT this fall and if its what others are predicting (3-5 wins) then I am not super optimistic on a top 10-15 class. Hell I hope we are the #1 class.. JMO:blink:

Just looked at the last few 20th ranked classes and you guys are right. I think a top 10 is a bit optimistic with this start..... But I'm hopeful

Yea, I mean it really shouldn't be real tough for us to get a solid class with all the big names we are in on if you look at prior ratings.

Last year:

20th- 6 4star, 20 3stars, 1 2star

15th- 9 4stars, 9 3stars, 1 2star

12th- 12 4stars, 7 3stars, 1 2star

I put 12th on there cuz that's where I think we'll end up.

Yeh. Good call BOBo. (Not bobo tho? LOL srry homie) top 10 is a great job considering what we need and the current landscape. There's no reason for us to be outside of the top25, ever, imo.
