NYC Council Advances bid that could Yank Monuments Honoring Washington, Jefferson, Columbus

New York’s City Council — which just passed a budget that’s already been deemed a flop — is now spending some of its time advancing a plan that could kill off monuments honoring figures such as George Washington.

The Democratic-led council’s Cultural Affairs Committee is set to hold a public hearing Tuesday on a proposal to yank artworks from city property dedicated to historical figures such as George Washington, Peter Stuyvesant and Christopher Columbus because of their controversial pasts.

I’m surprised they haven’t put up a 9/11 memorial for the terrorists.

Feel Safe Yet? NYC Mayor Eric Adams Deploys Police Robot to Times Square Subway Station

The NYPD is deploying robot police to the Times Square subway station, with New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) saying the move will save the city money, given that robots don’t need “bathroom breaks” or “meal breaks,” and the city is paying less per hour than its minimum wage to lease the robot.

“The population of men and women in law enforcement — in criminal justice — those numbers are decreasing,” Mayor Adams said in a Friday morning press briefing, announcing the deployment of the robot. “What we must do is look at existing technology and see — how do we continue to be innovative.”

Yes, make them suffer for their voting habits. Pain is the only thing that may make them realize that the policies of who they voted for suck. I love seeing them erupt because of the stance of those they voted for. Eff em.

They must feel like a more than painful feeling for NYC. The damage has to be beyond comprehension for them to understand this ain't funny anymore. At some point they will start hurling insults at elite leftists more regularly.

Absolutely. I want them to suffer for their voting habits to the point that it hurts so bad they can't stand it. Maybe then they will change their minds.....well, at least some of them will. Some are damaged beyond all hope.

FLA and TX need to send thousands more to sanctuary NYC.

"Twitter owner and multi-billion dollar Elon Musk called the New York City (NYC) migrants’ crisis as ‘severe crisis’ as NYC mayor announced to spend over three billion dollars on the accommodations of the migrants.

Musk taking to his platform X, commented: “This is a severe crisis”, to a video posted by trending politics co-owner Collin Rugg."

"Collin said that New York City is gearing up to pay over $1,000,000,000 on just hotels over the next three years to house illegal immigrants.

He said: “Good! That’s what happens when you call yourself a “Sanctuary City.” But that’s just the hotel costs.”

“Residents in NYC have had enough. In the video below, Staten Island locals were arrested for blocking migrant buses,” he added.

NYC Mayor Eric Adams estimates the total cost of the migrant crisis will be about $12B over the next 3 years.”

JUST IN: New York City is gearing up to pay over $1,000,000,000 on just hotels over the next 3 years to house illegal immigrants.Good!

That’s what happens when you call yourself a “Sanctuary City.”

But that’s just the hotel costs. NYC Mayor Eric Adams estimates the total cost of the migrant crisis will be about $12B over the next 3 years.“We are past our breaking point,” he said.

“With more than 57,300 individuals currently in our care on an average night, it amounts to $9.8 million a day. Almost $300 million a month and nearly $3.6 billion a year.”Residents in NYC have had enough. In the video below, Staten Island locals were arrested for blocking migrant buses.

I’ve heard some people say some stupid **** while trying to defend their position…..but…..nobody has ever left NYC and looked at their friends and said “OmG Did yoU Have tHe WAter? So gOod, It’S what They’re kNoWn for”

Lol
Someone who “lived in NYC” doesn’t know a thing about NYC bagels or pizza, tough scene

The impact and water quality is probably exaggerated, but if you lived there and have never heard that NYC’s bagel and pizza dough quality is due in part to the quality of its water, I’d be pretty surprised.

Ya….
People all over the world can’t stop talking about how good the water is……it is what New York is known for.
If you ask 100 New Yorkers what the city is known for, absolutely nobody is going to say “oh it’s clearly the water”

What a Fing joke.

No one said it was the #1 thing NYC is known for, but I would argue with a strawman too if I claimed to live in NYC and didn’t know a basic thing everyone here knows
