I too wanted Austin in Knoxville and still do BUT the one person who I rely on the most for basketball knowledge has repeatedly told me not to get overly impressed with Austin...he said from DAY ONE he just didnt think Austin would be more than a role player for UT...and that ultimately he would not go to UT...and you'll just have to trust me on this when I say he is BY FAR the most educated basketball man i know....as usually...he was right on...

stop acting like ******* when a kid picks another school. He's going to the place that he feels is best for him, whatever the reasons may be.
I went to Briarcrest. Didn't get UT or Memphis St offer, but it would have been hard to leave town and not be able to see my mom and dad in the stands for every home game. I went away to UT to get away from home, but would have stayed to play in front of my parents.
What did I miss for Pastner and the lottery? Also the idea of playing in an NBA arena is a joke. I live on Long Island and until St. Johns actually got a good coach people didn't care about playing in one of the greatest NBA arenas ever.
Awesome post now he goes to a must have player and immediate starter to just a role player.. Sour grapes..I too wanted Austin in Knoxville and still do BUT the one person who I rely on the most for basketball knowledge has repeatedly told me not to get overly impressed with Austin...he said from DAY ONE he just didnt think Austin would be more than a role player for UT...and that ultimately he would not go to UT...and you'll just have to trust me on this when I say he is BY FAR the most educated basketball man i know....as usually...he was right on...
I wish it was just a bike. I lived in multiple parts of the city. Never felt safe. Most racially tense city I've ever been in. I can understand him wanting to stay close to home, though. Don't get me wrong, it's a fun town. An attempted home invasion and a multitude of other things had MD more than ready to leave. I wish the kid well
