Choosing a school that's top 10 all-time in football and another school that's one of the top basketball schools is bandwagon at it's finest. Especially when you're blending into two fan bases that hate each other.

Sorry, but hopefully Nichols enjoys losing. Memphis loses in CUSA, they're going to get smoked in the Big East. 9-10 losses all 3 seasons with their schedule? It's going to be bad in the Big East.

P.s. Memphis is not a great city and the people saying it is must not travel.

I've traveled all over the world and this country, and Memphis is adored everywhere I go. There is a unique soul here that began with the blues, ignited rock 'n roll, and continues with world-renowned musicians. Memphis' hospitality is known worldwide, as are its festivals, its bbq, Beale Street, Graceland, its churches and beautiful neighborhoods, azaleas in the spring, and the Mighty Mississippi rolling past its front door. Memphis is known for its Tiger basketball, and recently, the Grizzlies.

A city we regularly try and get players from, and is what, 20% of the entire population of our state? All the posters that ***** that we are hurting recruiting talking about Dooley should keep in mind that people in Memphis see this site also. And no, I don't live in Memphis (NYC) but doesn't our university represent the state?

Great recruit, if anybody listened to the Gary Parrish show they would understand why Nichols picked Memphis .

I'm a VFL by the grace of God , A Memphis bball fan by choice , don't hate on Memphis , we may have a crime problem but when the tigers play , it's all a big family in the forum!

And UT didn't recruit as hard as Duke , and Pastner didn't recruit as hard as anyone! He just wants to play ball, here in Mphis he will start every game!

I'm not sure hell start every game for Memphis next year, actually id be surprised if he started there next year.

If it was about starting he would've been here, he basically had a starting spot reserved here.

Memphis has the highest crime per capita in the country. Yeah, that's a place I'd like to call "home". It's the armpit of the South.

FTR, I had Hubbs as the one likely to flip somewhere. I was 100% sure on Nichols and had been hearing really good things. After Vandy, things got really quiet but I was told everything was good to go and especially when we landed Hubbs, it was for sure on. Oh well, that's what I get but I'm over my shock. Congrats Memphis. You got a really good player. Still can't believe Pastner flipped him because he was for sure Tennessee's.
