Nick Stephens

Really? Great trivia, kpt!

I'm one of the few voices who said Crompton would always find an NFL team. That was BEFORE the Georgia game too.

However, in 2008, zero separation from Nick Stephens, and, given the gulf in toolkit, suggests he was actually much worse.

Which goes to show you how well he was coached.

And the film comment was a joke.

SECCG every three years doesn't seem to support you here.

Unless playing for the SEC is mediocre. Right, I forgot, in the new money it is....

I guess Arkansas should have let Houston Nutt hang around forever.

Gibbs, I have one simple question.
When was the last time that Fulmer won something meaningful?

Except one of those is on Hambone.

One of them is quite clearly on Nick Stephens.

You never explained how Hambone making the team worse led to us beating Kentucky and Vanderbilt.

You won't like my answer, because I think bowl wins are meaningful, including non-BCS bowls.

However, I have a different outlook. All of the three SECCGs were really close. A break goes our way in any of them, and we win any of them.

I am as disappointed as anyone on not bringing home silverware. HOWEVER, the "solution" (sic) has taken us farther away from even playing in those games. I think it is important to be in a position to play in those games.

We (and especially YOU (plural)) must hope Dooley is DA MAN! I have a good feeling about him.

We had plenty of breaks in all three of Phil's losses in the SECCG.

Yes I have. Several times.

So prior to Fulmer getting fired, we were so bad as to be smashed by South Carolina. Yet, after his firing we manage to beat a team that beat the Gamecocks and a team that nearly beat them. And it is your contention that firing Fulmer made the team worse.

I just want to be 100% clear that is your explanation.

Nobody's had a losing season since. What's your point?

That's not the point.

The point is to improve on SECCG every three years.

That's the metric of success.

2010 = YEAR THREE, but I'm letting you off the hook - this year.

That is absolutely not the metric of success. Phil Fulmer stated definitively before every season of his career that his goal was to win the SEC. Thus, the improvement that must occur is in that category.

KPT, it obviously meant separating the real trolls from the real fans.

Do you need the three letters to know of whom I speak?

I just enjoy a guy that claimed we had many starters at BCS schools and presented several other claims as fact without knowing whether there was actually a shred of truth in them whining about intellectual integrity while simultaneously spelling "intellectually" incorrectly.
