Nico’s eligibility?

Nico probably has more legal standing against the NCAA than anyone. He was a resident of Cali & complied with the laws in his state as evidenced by him playing his sr year. He signed his Spyre agreement before he even committed to Tennessee much less signed a National Letter of Intent. If his eligibility penalized anyway, I’d suspect a restraining order filed & granted within hours of such from the NCAA, followed by a major lawsuit filed by Nico, Spyre etc.

NCAA has zero standing on Nico that occurred PRIOR to his signing the National letter and they’ll never be able to enforce guidelines retroactively.

Based on Plowman's letter, I wouldn't bet the house on that. Plowman is ready to punch somebody..
Plowman's letter was outstanding but wasnt written yesterday morning. That letter was prepared some time ago. And I'd suspect Boyd, Sankey and Tenn AG signed off on it.

Gov Lee probably did also if they woke him up.....

I think we will have to forfeit all the games Nico played in this past season. Buckle up guys we may get hammered this time around and it will definitely negatively affect recruiting. Hope I’m wrong.
You're completely and utterly wrong. The NCAA is about to lose what's remaining of it's teeth. You are too used to the Jimmy Cheek and Gary Hart era of ineptitude. Donde Plowman, Randy Boyd and Danny White have got this. More states are going to back the lawsuit that Tennessee and Virginia filed against the NCAA. What the NCAA is inferring is the same as accepting a job and figuring out your salary once you start working. unh uh

Are we going to lose Nico now due to this investigation? Have a bad feeling from what I’ve been reading that we would be repeat offenders and the NCAA will hammer us good this time.
The NCAA's calendar is measured in years, not days.

He's Nico Suave, with NIL cash in his pocket and a ponytail to prove it. Nobody can mess with Nico Suave!

I appreciate our chronic case of BVS…but it’s time to take a chill pill. This is the necessary death-throes of a dying institution. The NCAA lost their teeth with NIL and they are desperately clawing to remain relevant. It’s only a matter of time until some institution or conference says “we no longer acknowledge your authority under the new regulations.” It could be the SEC. They may stay around in name, but as a regulating and enforcement authority they are finished…and multiple State Attorneys are lining up to let them know.

I'm expecting this to all be over in a couple of weeks as the NCAA heads out of town and back into their shell.

I’m going to blame Georgia and Alabama for this chit
Can't blame Georgia for this one----their star QB lobbied for $4M to pass up the draft and stay in school one more year. It appears he got the money because he's still in school. The NCAA would have to investigate 99% of their membership for NIL infractions.

And I’m 95% confident Plowman reached out to other SEC presidents and beyond to test the temperature of the water prior to writing the letter. I think this will be a case where universities ban together if NC2A issues allegations and /or sanctions.
