I agree. As a leader, he should be encouraging. He should exude confidence in his current teammates and have a get it done attitude, not some confusing emoji.

I think Nico had a good, not great, year and has a lot of upside, especially if he quits throwing side arm so much. His decision-making should get better and his release should get quicker. This year showed a lot of promise, but also showed a lot of areas that we need to get to work on; coaches, players, and team.

I think he’d be a lot better if they get some WR’s that can get separation on their routes. Speed kills and we didn’t have enough.

I understand it’s the new college football and I understand it from the players perspective as well, I’d do the same to take advantage of the (no) rules…but as a coach you also have to be careful navigating the waters overpaying someone and others getting mad or jealous over it thinking they deserve X as well and then you have locker room issues.

Crazy times we are living. Did you all see Miami’s basketball head coach presser when he left. Pretty much sums it up. I think Virginia’s said about the same thing when he left and it’s likely why Saban left when he did as well

They are worth whatever the market is giving them. It doesn't matter what you would pay or we would. Someone out there could be willing to pay more or it could be us looking to upgrade. Squirrel is not worth #1 wr money. He is small and has had some health issues. This is now the free market world of business. No longer a amateur game

My guess is the post is more about the WR crew still up in the air for next year and squirrel leaving but sorry, this is the new college football. Next man up or in. The transfer portal has a long way to go with the other opening in April.

I gave you a like, because I'm in total agreement with this sentiment. It's hard to build team unity with a bunch of me first players who already have one foot out the door.

The portal has turned football into basketball. It is the Coach Calipari approach of recruit a whole new team each year. Now his teams were going pro after 1 season, that’s not the same. Hard to get invested in the players when they move around so much. The portal is good but needs to be regulated somehow.

It's interesting that when it's feared that someone talented might leave our program..... "the portal is awful and needs to be controlled."

But when we need talent at positions..... "we're not using the portal and our money and we should go out there and pay the best players."

Which is it? A good tool for us to get the best players or a bad thing that keeps us from keeping our talent?

I expressed the same sentiment on here….and got called a stupid MF’er. Glad to see others that think the same thing. I wish they’d just stop with the cryptic social media posts, that they KNOW incite speculation, and either stay or go. Let the team move on. That’s it.

Just like free agency in the NFL, the portal shouldn't open up until after the college championship game. The transfers can still come in at the start of the Summer semester in May and be ready by the Fall.

The issue is with them still being considered “students” and having to enroll. At this point and when revenue sharing comes they should be employees of the college and then they should change the rules imo because let’s be honest, how many in college football getting big NIL $ are there for a degree

I look at Nico's posts and I think it is a poke at his receivers bolting for the portal.
We did well with Bru, Thornton, and Brazzell in the portal. Now Brazzell will be WR #1, a Jr.
Nico is joshing them a bit that they are leaving just when the passing game should go to the next level next season.

We need to get some sure hands and route runners in the portal, and some pass blockers while we're shopping. I would rather have a couple of reliable hands WRs that make the catches than two 5-star world class speedsters that spend their careers in the medical tent.

He is 19/20 are you responsible for a pic with an emoji ? He just wrote a damn heartfelt letter to Volnation after the loss. Wtf do you want ? So you wanna tell him not to tweet ? No one even knows what it meant. It could be just what it is a big 0. Maybe he is disappointed Squirrel left without straight out calling him out.
