I agree with a lot of this but what about those that don't share the same values and now have 3 or 4 generations of values that are opposite of western values but yet live off of the success of western values??? That is what we are Experiencing now I believe.

@hog88 yes I am aware the constitution would need changing and there is a process .I was speaking in theory and it will never happen in our lifetime or without a civil war.

It's not a hornets nest it's that your ideas are kinda nonsense. That's really true when you complain about others and their respect for the constitution but espouse ideas that also go directly against it.

In truth, I like your ideas above. How I wish it were true, and even ends up being true. However, two things work against the things you expound. One, the USA isn't a nation. We have no collective, historical, shared cultural identify. Thus, we buck the trend in terms of what a nation is. We don't share a physiological trait as, say, does the Japanese, Chinese, Irish, Welch. Nor a historical uniform language, an official language, yes, but not a historical uniform language. The other thing is that our history shows that we are and will remain a country rent with factionalism. The current MAGA, BLM, Woke, leftism, rightism, and other movements are just rebranded historical factional conflicts that have infected the country from its inception until this day. And it continues. Sadly, enemies such as the Chinese, Russians, even the Palestinians, and other Arabians have come to realize this. And are using our factionalism to breed distrust among the people, discredit our institutions, infiltrate, our corporations, educational systems, even our military, to basically dismantle the country both from outside and within. I've said it before, mainstream America in general has no idea how much seething hatred it has generated over the past few centuries, nor the price gradually manifesting itself today. In effect, we're helping them slit our throats, but we're too stupid to address our issues in a positive instead of a condemning manner. So, enemies exploit this stupidity.

People that say this forum is too right don't even have a clue. If we followed the demography of the actual state of Tennessee, it would be far more conservative leaning in posts.

Far Right is basically anyone that disagrees with Democrat/Leftist Platforms.

Far Left/Communism is basically anyone that disagrees with Republican platforms or critiques Capitalism.

Agree... labeling/name calling is a big part of our problem and the MSM for both sides deserves all the blame for it.

I still maintain that Freedom of Religion is about the most equitable “chip” that can be pushed to the table in this Grand Compromise over 2A rights the gun grabbers are always talking about.

-We can let people like Luther decide what our Right to Bear Arms looks like.
-We can let people like Whodeycin85 decide what our Right to Religious Freedom looks like.

That sounds wonderful.
