Might be the most misleading statistical table ever posted on VolNation. That simply states the dollar value associated with California's top agricultural commodities and that value as a percentage of America's total agricultural commodities.

Way to make people think that California has a real stake in the cattle industry, simply because it is California's fifth most valuable agricultural commodity. The cattle that California raises accounts for less than 4% of the total US value!

I think I could live with Wisconsin, Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa making up the difference in my milk consumption. As for carrots, celery, lettuce, and spinach...take it. That greenhouse/nursery does not include peas, green beans, lima beans, or okra. It also does not include corn and/or potatoes. Therefore, I will be alright.

By the way, I will enjoy setting my thermostat on whatever temperature I darn well please for the rest of my life.
