I haven't compared the rosters in detail. I do know that his first roster was described as such by Cinci media coverage that followed the year (note the descriptions of "stunning" and "catastrophic"):
So, what's your point? Both inherited a rebuild at some level. CBJ went 2-1 against CCS with a single overtime loss. I've made the statement that I see the two coaches as pretty equivalent to one another. But I've noted that, due to head-to-head records, both with rebuilding jobs, it is not at all "laughable" if someone were to consider CBJ the better coach.
What else do you want?
I know I don't give a ****.
We could take a poll and see who gives a ****.
Then again. I wouldn't really give a **** about the poll either.
****!
Ill start off. I was out of town, and almost gave up on us ever having a capable coach when I read the news of Jones being hired. I of course did some research, and as always (Dooley being the lone exception( convinced myself he could get the job done. My lone worry was recruiting. I knew recruiting to UT, was different that Cincy, and that if he was good, we would see the results. Well, he has blown past my best expectations in a little over three months. The man has proven he can coach, and now he is showing everyone he can recruit. Russia got a falling star, UT may have gotten one too. But only people getting hurt here are opposing coaches feelings, knowing they can no longer cherry pick this states top talent. If this week is any inclination of what's to come, consider me giddy.
I was wrong about Butch. Any others?
That's not good for Jones, since one of his two wins of that nature was over a 10-4 Miami of Ohio team. (The other was 8-5 NC State.) I don't remember all of Strong's off the top of my head, and it may actually be 9-4 after beating Florida, but you guys are free to look those up.
