I'm not much into conspiracy theories but I think you're right.

One side is Ergen and a group of boosters that want the program to be back in the national spotlight.

On the other you have Haslems who ramrodded Currie into the AD spot to be his puppet.

I would guess that there have been 2 sets if negotiations going on. Currie carrying his out with direction from the Haslams and the other side with Gruden, which is where most of of our info has been coming from.

There is no way Currie went rogue. He had to get approval of some sort before proceeding.

Its just inconceivable that the Haslams or Currie thought this would fly.

They have had their strangle hold on the university and the football program for so long that it has basically destroyed it.

Tonight, it was torn from their hands. Currie will be gone. No way he survived this. The Ergen side will get their AD candidate in place (Blackburn), and they will proceed to get the coach they want.

I'm glad my life is simple and I don't have to be a part of crap like this. Lol

I'll stick with my barns and building my business up.

But I do think this was a power struggle and it came to a head tonight.

The arrogance of the Haslams was their undoing.

Need to go **** themselves. I blame Gruden just as much as the rest of the clowns. He pushed this along the entire time. Could have easily said no interested in coaching college.

Rush out and get Miles, Kiffen, Norvell. Frost and the others are probably gone given how Currie has handled this.

Man I hope Gruden is still on the table. At this point, if he's not, his son will either have very thick skin or need to transfer. Gruden straight trolled the entire state of Tennessee if he isn't in play.

If they hire Shiano I'm done being a Tn fan. Gruden showed interest by coming to Game. Even if Gruden said no Shiano turned a blind eye to rape at Penn right? This is horrible horrible horrible

She's an educated idiot, we all know this. I agree she needs to go but I would bet she has no idea who GS was but does now, only Currie was pumping him for the job, I seriously want to get to the bottom of the Gruden debacle this can't happen twice can it?
