Official Thread of the St. Louis Cardinals

I've followed Klesko since he came in with the Braves in the 90's....then in San Diego. Call it a man crush I guess.:dunno:

HOOray Cardinals!

YOU win the all expenses paid trip to be swept straight out of the playoffs by the Mets!

:rock2:

I'd start Reyes in game one. He's rested, and he looked pretty good the last time out.

Also, I didn't get to see the beginning of the game... but did they ever say why Rolen wasn't in the lineup? Is he injured or could it possibly be because of his absolute lack of production in his enitre postseason career?

Spiezio got a big hit in his place.

Preston Wilson made 3 outs, on 3 friggin pitches, to end 3 innings. Oh, and he was hitting ahead of Pujols!

Rolen admitted to La Russa that his shoulder has been bothering him for a while now. They said his shoulder won't be completely healed until next season... so I don't know how much of Rolen we'll see in the rest of the playoffs. That's normal though... playoffs without Scott Rolen.

Heh, yeah. Just once I'd like to see him make it to the playoffs and be healthy.

He was slumping going into the playoffs too though. His batting average went from around .325 to under .300 in the last couple of weeks.

I think they should sneak Jered into Jeff's uniform and put him out on the mound. They look so much alike that no one would notice the difference!

Except maybe by the performance, but hey, it's worth a shot.

I guess Carp might pitch on Friday now. I don't know... I'd rather see him win game 3 in St. Louis. I think Soup would be fine in game 2. Lets just hope Dream can bring his A game tonight... and that his A game is good enough!

I've been a Cardinals fan since I was a kid. Ozzie Smith, Willie McGee.

Any other cardinals fans here?

I'm a die-hard Cardinals fan ('Dad liked them, as well as the Braves, so I followed.)

My all-time favorite would easily have to be Mark McGwire, just because of how he (and Sammy Sosa) gave baseball life again, in 1998, where they had that home run race. Despite his recent ignorant sayings, quotes, hoopflah, on the field, he'll always be my favorite all-time Cardinals player.

I'm trying to get back into following baseball and I'm leaning towards the Redbirds as my team. GO CARDS!

Dream Weaver looked sharp, but just made one bad pitch. The Cards only hope now is to get a few runs in the top of the 9th. Pray for a miracle!

Down 2-0 in the top of the 9th with the heart of the order coming up. Come on Cards!
