Official Thread of the St. Louis Cardinals

Just saw a "Get R Done" sign in NY. Good to know they have rednecks up there, too.

Cards gotta win tomorrow.

Rolen isn't himself out there... hopefully they'll play Spiezio tomorrow.

I thought the facial hair looked pretty stupid until he hit that 3-run triple in one of the last games of the season to boast the Cards into the playoffs. I love it now!

Well, lets hope Carpenter can even the series 1-1 after tomorrow's game.

That will be kind of hard to do if we can't score any flippin' runs. You've got to be kidding me... WE CAN'T HIT LEFTIES!

The loss last night made me sad. Weaver pitched a good game, yet had no run support with an offense that featured Albert Pujols as the main guy in it. I hope we can fire up the engine in Game 2, and score some runs, and not let Beltran own us.

There is something about Carlos Beltran. He owned us in the NLCS in 2004 when he was with Houston (we still won that series), now he's doing it this time. I can only hope we win the series this time around as well, instead of losing it in 6 as we did in 2005.

Lets Go Cards! :D

I don't care if Beltran hits 22 HRs this series as long as it has the same result as the 2004 NLCS.

I'm just not expecting much... the Cards have the best hitter and pitcher in this series, but they're outclassed everywhere else when you combine talent and the health of that talent.

That baserunning blunder by Pujols last night was just special as well.

Woohoooo!!!! Spezio is the man!!

Got to give some props to Taguchi, too!

I forgot ol Taguchi! By the time I got in here Spiezio was up to his post-season heroics again. :rock2:

Molina seems to have found a swing just in time for the playoffs as well.

You gotta love bringing in Taguchi in as a defensive replacement and having him hit a lead off HR in the ninth.

Word.

Doesn't look like Rolen will see anymore action this postseason.

I'd LOVE for Rolen to make it to ONE postseason somewhat healthy.

I saw Delgado play as a Knoxville Smokey back in the day. They still played downtown off of Magnolia then.
