Well the Cardinals are trying to lose this one. Led 8-1 after 4 innings. It's now 8-6 in the top of the 9th. 2 outs and there is some sort of delay, probably rain. For the love of God, just call it!

They must really want the Nationals to come back and win this thing. Still under a delay... with one out left.

Well they waited 101 minutes, but Izzy got the last out to secure the 8-6 win.

Isringhausen has 13 savesin the 20 games the Cardinals have won.

Another good night at the plate for Pujols. 2-4 with 3 runs scored. BA up to .291. Also has a 10 game hitting streak going.

Edmonds went 2-4 with 3 RBI.

Eckstein went 3-5. Has his BA up to .277 after it was down around .210/.220 a couple weeks ago.

Cards lose 7-2.

Wainwright pitched well enough giving up only 2 runs in 7 innings. Unfortunately, Springer and Flores did not. They combined to give up 5 runs in .2 innings.

Pujols went 3-4 to get the BA over .300 and to extend the hitting streak to 11 games.
