We shall see. However, I'll hesitate to pass judgment on him after only 2 bad starts. Look at Izzy. He's had about 6 bad appearances lately, and he'll still our guy. There's a trust there that he can do the job. Lohse still has to develop that trust with the fans, so we'll see.

Cards win 5-1 over the Astros. Benches cleared for the second straight game after Backe threw at Molina. Someone just needs to jack Backe in his jaw.

Lohse had a solid outing. Nothing spectacular, but we'll take it.

Pujols: Solo HR (5)

Yeah, no doubt. He hasn't done enough in the league to be mouthing off to Albert Pujols. Then, in the game yesterday, Backe walked Pujols twice. If you're going to talk tough, how about to pitch tough to the guy. What a tool.

Cardinals drop the opener to Cincy 4-3. Reds got their runs early off Wellemeyer, and the Cards tried to claw their way back the rest of the way. Not enough innings in tonight's game.

By the way, I have no idea what La Russa was thinking with Ludwick leading off tonight. He went a big 0-for-5 with 4 Ks. Wowza.

Cardinals beat the Reds 7-2 tonight. Pineiro looked sharp, other than the 4 walks he handed out. Pujols got on base for the 28th straight game.

what a game!! it should've been 7-0...what about Glaus' inside the park :rock: i got to go into the cards locker room during the 1st inning, ive got a few pics on my phone... Izzy was just leaving his locker when I was coming in...
