Omari needs to be suspended (he apologizes)

Yes 100% should be suspended or kicked off.

We play undisciplined and if we allow this stuff to go unpubished, we will continue to play undisciplined....

If we're going to say that players are now held to a higher standard because they're paid then they need to be fully protected in their workplace. Those people appeared to choose a route directly thru the entire team who was exiting the field.

Don't storm the field for wins that don't warrant it and there won't be an issue

ONL also had that questionable low hit on Green that injured him. I really hope that was not intentional. I want the Vols to win, but not like that.

I don't think that was him, but the issue was the Vol defender celebrating it after the hit. It seemed intentionally.

He does not need to be kicked off the team for this but I agree punishment should happen. A public apology should also be given. And yes the situations were different between Hand and Burton. Burton had several behavior issues before the Knoxville stunt. Omari has not. Discipline and move on.

Not the right thing to do however at least he showed yesterday hurt and he lashed out (again not the right to do) In England the fans are simply not allowed on the pitch to avoid exactly this sort of situation.

The same way our fans ran thru AL team end of the 2022 game…..excitement, stupidity.
I was there and saw it.
It is getting out of control, and there should be more severe penalties before some overly excited fan or player gets seriously hurt.
There’s a difference between running on the field and then deliberately running through the team as they are entering their tunnel. And it was just a shove. Nothing crazy happened

Bottom line, SEC needs to take a hard stance on rushiing the field and not the lukewarm, wishy-washy lip service they give and the small fines they impose (relative). They’d better do it before something awful happens and they and schools end up in endless lawsuits.

Yeah it was fun to rush the field, but given where we are as a society, might not be worth allowing anymore.

Some of you people are so soft you really shouldn’t watch football. When I played, I didn’t want an opposing player, after a loss, taunting me, much less a fan.
Then some of you will claim that if you had an opposing fan taunt you by “barking” or cussing you in front of your lady, or pour a beer on you, you would knock their lights out, why the double standard? Players are upset with the loss and don’t need someone in their face talking s###.

Solid post. You really defended your position well
when you're a 6'4" 325 lb human, further a Sr leader on a team you are held to a higher standard. Not to mention there are laws in place that prohibit behaviors just like this.

Dude looked like he may have ran into an elderly guy and dude took care of business. Just because we handed them the game on a platter still need to keep the drunk idiots that probably not even students be as disrespectful as Georgia fans .

My dad handled a case once where someone was in an argument, large person pushed smaller person who fell backward, tripped and hit his head on bumper. He developed a brain bleed, and died later.

Man was arrested for aggravated assault, and later in civil case.
Which is why they shouldn't have picked a route going directly thru an entire team of large, upset men if they weren't prepared for the consequences. Omari was not the first to try and redirect them if you watch the video. They were stupid

Were these people seriously injured?

I think you missed my main point. Something needs to be done about fans on the field after the game. Too many bad things can happen.

Nothing good happens when fans are walking thru where players exit. Security should have gave UT cleaner path off the field from fans. No problem with fans rushing the field but you cannot allow it and expect everything to be perfect.

You are so delirious. These are grown men that should be held accountable. It’s not about money, it’s about knowing who you are and what you represent. If they can’t learn self control now, the real world won’t teach them either.

Why does only one party need to live in the real world? Was the "victim" not of similar age so also a grown man? Their self control led them to push their way thru an entire group of large, angry men. Turns out that's a bad choice

The player should never be aggressive toward the fan unless he is in danger. That being said, he should sit a game and be running stairs until he has no extra body energy to shove a fan ever again
