Overachieved

Yeah leave it up to the N (o) C (lue) A (bout) A (nything) organization to make teams want to avoid something that used to be so important.
In the NCAA defense, it's all about the $$$ for the conferences. Even during the BCS era. Conference Championship games all about more money, that's it. There is no reason for them at all.

10 wins and a playoff birth, both are more than was expected in the preseason.

Y’all still wanna fire everyone?
No, I expected 11 wins. Who did we beat to overachieve? We underachieved, if anything,
by losing to Arkansas 😎

Yeah, we knocked Vandy out of a bowl game. Have they ever been to a bowl game
I can honestly say I saw Vandy win a bowl game once. One of my side jobs (every paramedic and firefighter has a side job or two) was working EMS at LP Field (now Nissan Stadium). I was there the day Vandy beat Boston College in the Music City Bowl. I doubt this ever happens again in my lifetime.

Nico looked much better today. I agree.

He threw one long ball very short (terrible throw). Could have been a TD. He made a TD pass later in that series.

He missed Sampson short… could have taken it to house if in front of Dylan. I don’t recall outcome of that drive.

He didn’t see one receiver down the middle for a TD (and he had plenty of time) and ran down right side of field for 1st down. I don’t recall series outcome.

But I nitt pick. Very nice game from Nico. He needs to keep improving. Competition is coming.
I agree Nico looked good overall. He didn't get rattled by the interception early. He ran for 1st downs and fought for extra yardage. He seemed to have a determination and grit to win the game , something you like to see in your QB. The OL gave him time to stand in there as well.

Wow…maybe the dumbest take in this thread. I hope you made a lot of money then by beating the over on our preseason win total. Clearly you’re smarter than Vegas
Why does that have to be dumb? I think a lot of us had us at 11- or 10-2 except a few with bvs.
Go check our preseason expectations thread. I don't care what Vegas thinks, I don't gamble on sports, but my expectations were to beat everyone except Ga.

I think most of us expected to beat Bama and Florida at home. The only true unknown was Oklahoma. NC State was never going to be a factor. So who did you expect to lose to Mr.Smarty pants?

Lmfao if you came into the season with 11-1 as your expectation, you’re the problem

I would just like to see us play a clean game one time. No turn overs and less than four penalties. No telling how good we really could be. The false starts and off sides drive me nuts
Especially offsides on the defensive line. 3 to 4 times per game and like against Georgia, they see a free play and complete a 30 or 40 yard pass. That is so costly.

Ffs, you have issues. You're used to the Pruitt era? Im a problem because I expect us to beat everyone except Ga this year, which we should have done. Seems I was pretty accurate, no?

Again, what was your expectations? 7-5, 8-4? I mean who did you NOT expect to beat this year? You must not think much of our players and coaches, which would be a problem. Expect more and stop settling for sht in life. I can tell who you voted for🤣

Oklahoma, Florida, Bama, Arkansas, Georgia, and Vanderbilt could have all been potential losses.

If you don’t see that, you have some serious issues with reality

They didn't play a perfect game, hardly anyone does. Look across the nation and you know why rivalry week is called rivalry week.

This season hasn't been perfect and there are still many things to improve.

We dont know what will happen in Playoffs but to your point regardless what happens this should be considered as a successful season, in a chaotic first year of the new SEC.

One thing I am pretty sure is that if Pruitt was still our coach we probably would have ranked in the bottom 1/3 of SEC, maybe worse. The SEC is as competitive as ever as other teams shrink the gap with Bama/GA.

The competitiveness of this team, the culture CJH has built is night and day different from the 2010s.

Thankful we have CJH, the staff, Danny White and university leadership, we have a really good QB whose best football is still ahead of him. The future is bright, GBO! 🍊🍊🍊

Outside of Vandy, is there any team you believe exceeded expectations?
