I wish Coach Pearl had pulled his head out of his butt BEFORE he decided to lie to the NCAA.

I don't know about anyone else, but back in the days when Bama was on probation, and I would hear their fans whining about how it was all Phillip Fulmer's fault for supposedly turning them in, my response was always: "Well, if you hadn't been cheating, you wouldn't have had anything to turn in." Now that the shoe seems to be on the other foot (I know the violations and the sports are different), I don't feel like making excuses.

Of course, with guys like Calipari still running around, the NCAA must have some real nerve if they are going to drop the hammer on coach Pearl and our basketball program. In any event, we don't have much of a reason to protest. Very disappointing situation IMO.

Seriously? This coming from a guy that stated in another thread that we all know Pearl has a history of cheating because of "well documented message board rumors."

Oh, how cute. You might as well just admit that you are too mentally deficient to actually come up with something good against me because you and I and everyone else knows that that's not what I said. Now, carry on your logic patrol for the night.

Really? Because when I kept asking you to show me where Pearl has constantly been cheating to which you said:

"These are well documented rumors on multiple boards through lots and lots of people. I also heard from someone that I respect a lot that has some contacts within the AD that there are other serious concerns about compliance and the behaviors of our coaches. Just face reality, man."

Yes, I said there are rumors on multiple boards, and I have been told by multiple people that I respect of serious improprieties by Pearl and his staff. I wasn't using this as factual evidence that Pearl has a long history of cheating because I have no way of confirming 100% the validity of those claims. I was instead using it to show how naive a person must be to think that Pearl just happened to get caught the one and only time he got caught and why I think he's probably cheated multiple times when he wasn't caught. I'm not surprised you couldn't grasp the difference.

So since you lied about actually saying that, does that mean that everything you say from now on is useless because you're a liar and a hypocrite. Hey, if you're going to hold Coach Pearl to that standard might as well stay consistent and hold yourself to that standard too.

Wait so you didn't say it, but now you admit to saying it? You weren't using that as factual evidence? Really? Because you essentially called me an idiot when I said that this is the first time Bruce has had a run-in with the NCAA because you and your "well-documented rumors" show another side to Pearl and that is he has been constantly cheating.

I said you would have to be an idiot to believe that Pearl has only ever violated NCAA rules once and just happened to be caught the one and only time he's ever violated them. And I firmly stand by that.

Another thing is how is someone naive for thinking this is his first misstep when 1. The NCAA has never done anything in the past to him 2. You can't back up the rumors?

Wouldn't the naive person be the one who uses "well documented message board rumors" to say this isn't Pearl's first rodeo?
