Look, I'm not going to continue to play games with you. If I could confirm the truth of it, it wouldn't be a rumor, would it? I can tell you that it's from people close to the situation that know a hell of a lot more than you. That and the multitude of other people on here that have heard almost identical things leads me to believe there's a good chance Pearl was into more than what we know thus far.

If you think Pearl has only ever cheated once and just happened to be caught that first time, then continue thinking that. I, like most other posters with a modicum of intelligence will continue believing otherwise.

I don't like it one bit that Pearl lied after putting himself in a situation where he thought he had to. But, I for one, don't want to have our BB program in shambles like FB is now because of words uttered by Pearl.

You probably have never liked Pearl, but he is a very competitive person and is doing what he believes needs to be done to run a top program. I don't like what he did, but I don't want to roll the dice on a new coach now and suffer through a football like decade.

At some point, you're just going to have to face reality and accept the fact that I know people that know a hell of a lot more about the situation than you will ever know. The "well-documented rumors" you speak of are from other posters here that also are very well connected. So, I'm sorry you have an inferiority complex. Good luck getting over it.
