People really keep going back to that as evidence of American ineptitude.

The Americans got out when they wanted to. Taliban didn't attack them as they quickly took over Afghanistan. Why not? Because they were smart.

Afghanistan was a playground for American Military. Testing weapons and tactics all the while keeping our military battle ready. Oh and the minerals there...

People are scared of China. United States is more blood thirsty than China could ever hope to be.

The USA has been sold out..We are nothing but a big player in the name of corporate worldwide egalitarianism. We transferred our manufacturing worldwide to support a middle class to other nations. To the point people are asking for $15/hour burger flipping jobs.

Just think...the USA debt spending is subsidizing the CCP military. And at same time we spend trillions on defense to counter this threat now.

It is insane. No borders..just corporatacracy.

United States at its roots are free capitalist that thrive off innovation and beating others to the punch. Yes...we flaunt the idea of liberty, and justice for all, but we've shed our own blood to make it a reality.

We controlled Afghanistan for 20 years...not weeks not months....YEARS.
When we gave the keys to the Afghan government they surrendered to the Taliban after a few weeks?

Yes. It was a playground for the US.

And it's a waste of time to argue otherwise.

Is it because of some "unfinished " business, being that they never truly declared the war over? No lol.

Domination of the nexus for the South "China" Sea? Yeah...but that's just money.

It's because Taiwan is a REAL LIFE example of China's own people submitting to their former Western oppressors AND LIKING IT.
Unfortunately...that island has been there for 100 million years i believe? Right off the mainland of China. It stands to reason it will be there physically for the rest of human civilization. So they just can't sail the island away from China a couple of thousand miles 😕

China will not deal with that for time immemorial.

What they can do is cut us off from all pharmaceuticals, chips and trinkets of all kinds and cripple our economy, which would also cripple their economy as well. We opened up a Pandora's box with China, and we need to close it.

Taiwan's chip industries supply a large part of our civilian and military market. But it was a colony of China with no American claim. Anyone who can look at a map should realize that we have no business getting into a war over it.

Well......we just left. The Taliban could have never, ever, ever came close to defeating us on the battle field. We could have stayed 100 years if we wanted to and there wouldn't have been a damn thing they could have done about it except get slaughtered every time they tried to fight us.
