Pelosi visit to Taiwan

I say Pelosi needs to go to Taiwan. I don't like Pelosi but China is bullying this administration. As much as this administration sucks, we have to take a stand.
I say Pelosi needs to focus on what's happening in her own district and mind her own business when it comes to China and Taiwan. She is still the representative of California's 12th congressional district.

Her sphere is much larger than the 12th district of California now 🙄.

Regardless if she's maneuvering legislation to steer her financial investments ( that's a crime btw), her going to visit Taiwan is showing China they unilaterally Americans support opposition to China's BS.
- dropping unguided space rockets wherever they hell they want.
- just fishing in whoever's water they want
- Wuhan Virus, sars before that
- and much more...

Republicans nor Democrats can't ignore China and its "abuse".

Oh. What was it that Trump signed then?
While we're there, how do you think our removal of air support under Biden affected the Afghans?
Air support?
So the Taliban has great pilots AND jets that we kept at bay for 20 years haha?
And yes, I'm aware of the scope of air support other than just dogfighting.

The Afghan government...did not want to fight a civil war on their own behalf for years on end. I'm not saying they did the wrong by bending over to the Taliban.

I'm just stating the facts that THEY did that by THEIR choice. There were other factors involved internally that had nothing to do with the west as to why the Afghan government did that.

We controlled that region for long as we wanted, and then left.
The imagery of hundreds trying to climb on to a moving cargo jet is a testament to Afghanistan's regular folk being dependent on western power. We could have stayed there 100 years and that scenario would have played out the same way.

You all are so silly trying to blame Trump or Biden for the pull out. Those people weren't willing to fight. Which is a much different perspective to Taiwan and their willingness to DEFEND against China.

Her first priority is still her district. Which has a major drug addiction and homeless problem and people crapping in the streets. She has absolutely no business going to Taiwan. I wouldn't be surprised if her husband had some potential business opportunity in Taiwan. Probably the real reason she's going.

China learned much of their behavior from the U.S.

She pretty much has to go now. Otherwise it will look like China bullied her into not going. And yes, I am aware how silly this all sounds.
It isn’t silly on the geopolitical stage. China is a bully and they tried to bully Pelosi. She needs to give them the finger plain and simple.

And if Biden really did try to get her to not go after China’s bullying then that is another strike against that beta cuck indicating he isn’t fit to lead.

The Hatfields and McCoys started their war over a pig.

Can we at least put a pig on the plane to make this somewhat justified.

Apparently 90% of these clowns... America has to save face and all that. We can't look weak.
More of your disingenuous dumbassery Moe. If China were to shoot down a US politicians plane, in this case third in line for the WH, when said aircraft is not violating their airspace then THEY have chosen to go to war not us. Yes, that really is exactly the situation here Moe

No one is disputing it is an act of war. But the point is that it never should come down to us thumbing our nose and provoking a situation that will end up in a conflict over this. There is no reason why Pelosi needs to drag the rest of us into a needless conflict with a nuclear power.

It seems you didn't understand the question about air support.
Afghans not wanting to fight? That's a good one.

China chose that path not us. This whole situation is completely due to more stupid needless saber rattling by China. End of story.

And on the flip side, we (allegedly) have the best equipped, best maintained, best strategizing military on the planet... and these cave dwellers and goatherders essentially fought us to a deadlock before we ran out of the place like a scalded dog... a complete replay of the fall of Saigon.

But we are going to show not one nuclear power, but two powers simultaneously who the boss is.

They didn't "fight us to a deadlock". Our leadership, civilian and military tied one hand behind the warfighters backs.

Same damn excuse we used in Vietnam. Let me ask you this... are the cast of characters we have running things right now an improvement on the people running things in Vietnam or Afghanistan?

There's a lot of trade between Pelosi's district and ROC. She has valid reasons to go there

No they are not any better, worse actually but that doesn't negate the fact that your statement is wrong.

OK, if you want to pizz about the semantics of whether it was a deadlock or whatever, I'll concede whatever minor point you want to make with regards to that. The major point is that the end result is that the Taliban was running things in 2001 before we came in and they are running things now that we are gone.
