And on the flip side, we (allegedly) have the best equipped, best maintained, best strategizing military on the planet... and these cave dwellers and goatherders essentially fought us to a deadlock before we ran out of the place like a scalded dog... a complete replay of the fall of Saigon.Well......we just left. The Taliban could have never, ever, ever came close to defeating us on the battle field. We could have stayed 100 years if we wanted to and there wouldn't have been a damn thing they could have done about it except get slaughtered every time they tried to fight us.
True but Trump signed what amounted to surrender terms, then Biden made our withdrawal a disaster.Well......we just left. This is going to be a very super cynical theory, but is this alleged trip to Taiwan a stunt to prop up Pelosi as a tough, strong leader and set the stage for her to bypass Kamala once the push Joe out between midterms and the new Congress is put in place? Its obvious that Kamala isn't ready for primetime (not suggesting Pelosi is any better). Maybe they figure out a way to get Kamala to got to Eastern Europe on a plane and something happens (Ron Brown)...China has a clear concern (whether you think it is a valid concern is not relevant) that a leading US official (3rd in power succession behind POTUS and VP) could be making a visit that is setting the stage for US recognition of Taiwan.
That would be the first call. After that it would be the CEOs of Nike, and Walmart, and AMZN, etc etc etc. Move your production out of China in 12 months or the tariffs will put you out of business. Period.Oh wow... iphone production. Yeah, because that is the most important thing we have coming out of China.
Well first off, 12 months isn't practical. I'll say it again, you have to build your new house before you burn down the old one. You just can't move production somewhere else at the snap of a finger. That is simply a tooling, machining, construction problem. That would be the first call. Of course they will move to Vietnam. I'm fine with that. Just gtfo of China. Now. And it isn't MY house that is being burned down. It's AAPL's. and AMZN's. And I hold a LOT of stock in both of them. They need to stop doing all of their business in China to keep producing cheap **** for cheap American consumers and allowing Pooh Bear to bend us over.Well first off, 12 months isn't practical. Secondly, what will likely happen is that they will just move to Malaysia, Vietnam or Indonesia, not back here to the US.
Yes. The Taliban would have agreed to much less one-sided terms. But Trump was in such a hurry to o get a deal signed that he gave away the farm. It probably didn't matter in the end considering the way Biden botched the pullout. Is there a problem with surrendering? Especially after 20 years of nothing being gained?
true - how can anyone take these Chinese idiots, that keep shutting down thier economy, thinking it will stop the spread of covid, serious ?Of course they will move to Vietnam. I'm fine with that. Afghanistan didn't surrender to the Taliban, we did.
Exactly. The hell is that fool talking aboutWell......we just left. The Taliban could have never, ever, ever came close to defeating us on the battle field. Oh. What was it that Trump signed then?No we didn't.
Get your facts straight.
We handed control over to the Afghan government who we had been training for 20 years. Then they let Taliban take control as soon as we decided to leave.
ANY NEWS OUTLET can tell you this.
The hell are you going on about?
We handed it over to a government we knew wouldNo we didn't.

But we are going to show not one nuclear power, but two powers simultaneously who the boss is.
Exactly. Plus where are we going to find the workforce to fill these jobs in the next 12 months?Well first off, 12 months isn't practical.
