Agree BPV- except one thing. Joe went to his superiors very quickly- he had enough 'clarification' to bring forth a huge issue. If I recall correctly, McQ had additional conversations with the AD etc. I have an issue with 'clarification' as a reason for no follow-up. I don't,think you were saying otherwise

Quickly was a almost two days later. From what I remember reading, the incident took place on a Friday night, the old bastard called the AD or president over to his house on Sunday, although he did find out about it on Saturday, still does not seem quick to me. This is what I don't get, the old bastard, it was horsing around but it was important enough for him to call the AD or pres. to his house on Sunday. If he thought it was just horsing around, couldn't wait until Monday?

paterno made the statement (back in the 80s, with sandusky at his side) that the reason he stayed in football was to save it from the johnny majors and the jackie sherills of the world. who the hell is supposed to save it from the joe paternos and the jerry sanduskys of the world???
