Political halftime show rap

I’m not much into Rap/Hip-Hop but I thought the show was ok. They’ve had much better half-time shows. I didn’t notice anything to be offended about but of course I couldn’t understand 90% of the words so….
It was simply another half-time show.

This one compelled mid 40’s white women to get up and dance at halftime, though. And that was offensive.

I agree, Snoop was smooth and did a good job. It’s too bad he couldn’t stop the gang stuff for one performance.

Things like that open pandoras box for worse in the future. You would hope the NFL didn't think it was cute but with Jay-Z involved in entertainment and them being Woke there might be more to come.

Somewhat off topic but relevant to my being a middle aged white guy: What is this finger sniff celebration that football players are doing all the time? It looks vulgar and makes me cringe, but I'm not sure if I'm misinterpreting it.

You're just watching for a reason to get upset or offended. Not everything needs to be made political

Actually no I'm not. He threw up a gang sign. He is a crip. Why do you think he throws it up? I'm ok with it at his concerts but not a corporate nationally televised event that's not a music awards show. It wasn't political or are you confused by my remark? I take the later.

You're an expert on crip gang signs now? 😂

Who cares about the damn halftime show anyways? I mean really? I think this is just faux outrage by the Redhat/"patriots" crew. Far bigger things to get their panties upset about.

I just don't understand why a bunch of 55 year old rappers (not necessarily "has-been, but well well past their primes) were called on for the halftime show anyway. These halftime shows have a knack for getting old washed-out and nearly irrelevant acts as their headliners. Cold play a few years back? Aerosmith? Rolling stones? Maroon 5? Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg? Wtf.
Los Angeles? City of Compton? Long Beach? They did the same kind of thing in Miami a few years ago with Pitbull I think.

Loved the halftime show. Didn't even notice Em "kneeled" nor do I give a ****. Hopped on Twitter, no one seems to care either. Good. Oh Will Cain and Clay Travis are upset people weren't wearing masks. Seriously. Yall need to move tf on.
This is some whiny stuff. I mean, we're talking about a halftime show. Not the game. LOL

At the 1:44 mark in this video he’s throwing the crip sign as he says “crippin’.” He was a real deal member of the Rollin 20’s Crips.

Again, I enjoyed the performance last night. They did a good job, and it was probably one of the better shows in the last 15 years.

Eminem takes a knee during the Super Bowl halftime show
What a mess. Just can’t stop can they? Biden bringing the nation together.
😡

IDK how you can misrepresent it anymore than saying "raps about sexually assaulting ann coulter"

Why would feminists stand up for any woman attacked with this rap lyric? As far as I know, feminists aren't fighting the fight against men having the right to say, "F*** [insert woman's name]"

I didn't get the Maroon 5 or Coldplay ones at all, but the others make perfect sense. If you're going for new and hip you're alienating way more people than if you go with an act that has proven to transcend eras. Kids still think Snoop Dogg (still a huge celebrity personality), Dre (still a mogul), and Eminem (still musically relevant) are cool and the songs are still cool.
