Potential Coaching Staff Members (list)

Football Scoop is reporting that Lloyd Lee will not return as LB coach for the Bears. Looks like he may join his good buddy Lane.

VKB is on top of things. I really hope we get Lee too. He seems like a very solid young coach.

I think the name Urlacher would give him some credibility in an 18 year old LB's house.

Is the Garner thing over or not? I have read all the posts but keep hearing that it is still going.... and going.... and going.

Lee was a safety in college and coached Nickel backs for the Bears before Linebackers. He could still be a possibility for DB's.

Monte, O, Thompson, and Lee would be a dream defensive staff for me.

Pulled up the link and was stunned at the thought of Dale Jones at Bama!

man if we could get both lee and thompson that would be a helluva defensive staff...best in the nation in my opinion

Any new rumors? Kiff give up are Garner? After the last few days of excitement, today has been rather boring. I need a fix. Guess I will have to wait til Friday, after the NC game, so we can start the Gonzales dialogue.

Listening to Hubbs this morning in Nashville, it sounds like the Garner thing is finally over.
He made no mention of Lane continuing to persuade him.

Very quiet day.. No real news. I know gonzo is still a possibilty but I havent heard anything about anyone else. I am really starting to wonder if he is still looking in the NFL.

I know his name has been brought up before and I have understood the reasoning behind the responses, but once again, how about Al Wilson at LB. Now that we have Monte and O, and Lloyd Lee is sounding like a strong possibility, he would be surrounded by tutors who could look after him while he's learning. Lee could take the DBs. One beloved UT family member on staff couldn't hurt and it would resolve the problem many have been talking about as far as minority hires for the sake of recruiting and player relationships.

Al Wilson was a great player. A true leader on our defense but great players don't always make great coaches. If he had been coaching at a small college somewhere or as an NFL assistant LB's coach, I would be willing to give him a chance.
