QB competition..

post his stats in all his games last year. and in the SC game, north saved him on the pass he threw up for grabs

Both throws to North in the SCAR game were very good throws by Worley. The one handed catch was perfectly positioned between the safety that was rotating over and the CB that was draped on North underneath. North made a great one handed catch on a very well thrown ball.

On the 48 yd gain down the seam, Worley could've led North a little more, but he still put it in a good place for North to go up and high point the ball, which he did.

the pass was way underthrown and everybody knows it. north made one hell of a catch. it was tops on SC

No it wasn't. If he had thrown it any further down the field the safety could've made a play on it or it would've been uncatchable.

no it wasn't. north did a great job of using his body to shield the defender away from the ball, thus having to catch it with one hand. if it was anywhere near on the money, it would've been an ovar the shoulder catch and a td to either a few more yards. that ball was underthrown

the safety was late and likely a single high, meaning cover 1 safety. he got close because it was underthrown

We should know more here within 72 hours..

I hope one of them goes 21 for 22 on Saturday to take the job.

You're hurting your case. You just gave us video evidence that the ball was very well thrown. The catch was so incredible because it was so well defended.

hahaaaaaa. he had to fend the guy off after getting behind him. have u ever played wr before? i have and i can tell u that ball was underthrown

wr's don't catch ballsfacing that direction unless: a) they had to go up and get it, b) the route requires it, c) deep ball underthrown

ur pics show that north was shielding the defender with his right arm and his body almost the whole time the ball was coming down

Look at the gif that ChattaTN posted. How big would you say that window is? MAYBE a 4 foot window Worley had to place that ball in? If it goes past the window the safety picks it or disrupts it, if it falls short of the window the corner disrupts it or north never ever has a chance at it.

That ball was placed in a small window from very far away. Your argument is failing and you know it.

Great play and I take nothing back from Worley. With that being said, the ball should have led the reciever out of bounds with the placement falling to norths left shoulder side towards the sideline away from the safety. Yet, at the end of the day the pass was completed and the boys won. So all that matters is the W and the pass was caught.

Wrong. It was a great instinctual play and catch by North, but the ball was put where it had to be given the coverage for North to catch it.

Spot on.

But really, why does this matter? He completed the pass anyways. The qb's job is to get it to the reciever how ever he can. That he did

1. Then you need to read back, and into various threads, and see what some of those Ferg folks have said.

2. I'm not anti-Ferg (dare you to find a post that says otherwise) and am just making fun of those who anointed him the starter just because he was seeing first team reps.

3. As a Vols fan, I got more sense than to be against any of our QBs. How can you claim to support your team if you hate on its players?

So get off your high horse and walk, the horse is too good for you to ride.

OK You, Coug, Lexyvol and the other 2 Dobbs supporters win. I am taking my horse to the barn.

Pretty much all of this. He got it close enough for North to make a great catch. He did and it lead to a win.

I find it puzzling that Worley has yet to totally separate himself from the pack at this point. With his experience I was expecting there to be little doubt at this point who the qb is.
