Quality Win Update for SEC teams

That's absolute crap. UW-GB plays in a MUCH better conference and has a better record than WKU, and it was a road game for Wisconsin. Vanderbilt lost a game in their backyard. You really think the committee is going to look at those games and say "Wow, Vanderbilt lost in regulation to a crap team from the Sun Belt in Nashville, but look at the road loss Wisconsin has to UW-GB, geez the Vandy loss doesn't even compare"? For someone who posts WL records as often as you do, you think you would be able to figure out that even if WKU isn't as bad a loss, it is at the very least comparable. You want to accuse people of changing the parameters of an argument, why don't you read the BS you post?

I'm glad you brought this up. I'm not saying this sarcastically, (Well, maybe a little) but I am going to throw back at you EXACTLY what you threw at me.

You say that you can't understand how Wisconsin is better than TN because they have a worse "loss' than UT.

Well, going by the SAME criteria you have used just now, I say this.

Purdue beat UT. Wisconsin beat Purdue. Therefore, Wisconsin > Tennessee. Acceptable? This keeps consistent with your own examples.

Now I know your going to turn around with another long post trying to argue against this point and how thats not REALLY what you meant.

This is the frustration we face over and over again with your analysis.
Losing to Green Bay isn't significantly worse than losing to USC .

I think we can make that "Wisonsin is better than UT and Vandy" argument now

Whatever. I have it on good authority that Wisconsin sucks. :whistling:

There's also a formula. You see Florida was a final four team because they beat Michigan St. But we all know now that Florida is terrible and subsequently Michigan St is now not a good team because of that. Therefore, Michigan St is not a good win and Wisconsin is still not as good as Vandy or UT.

Give you one guess where I stole that mathematical formula....

Strange, I mocked the transitive property of victories in this thread but someone else tried to use it...

Wisconsin looked good. I am sure that the same people who blamed Florida's victory over the same team on injuries will not talk about the injury suffered with 11 minutes left in a close game in Madison...

Wisconsin beat a ranked opponent with several losses at home. Northwestern also kept its slim NCAA hopes alive by not losing to a Michigan team that has talent on the roster but keeps losing.

No basketball talk can possibly be sad right now though, we have a top 10 class on NSD which very few predicted when Dooley was hired (I said 9 was my guess and people thought that was insane) and we look to be hiring the DC I was hoping most for 2 weeks ago when it was all just speculation.

Nobody is trying to use the transitive property. Just using it to make fun of you, really.

Also, Lucas was not injured until the 10 minute mark in the second half. They were down 15 at halftime and 9 when he was hurt. Wisconsin was winning that game either way, I don't care how many spins you want to try to put on it.

Also, Michigan St has ONE loss all season at home, not SEVERAL as you suggest. The other losses 3 were on the road to ALL ranked teams at the time. (UNC, Texas, Wisconsin)

Anything else you want to totally misconstrue?

I meant that Wisconsin, at home, beat a team with several losses.

I also would not say the Legends classic loss to Florida was a true road loss.

I was very impressed with how few turnovers Wisconsin had. I have never said that Bo Ryan cannot coach, I think he is an excellent coach, I just hate the style of basketball they play.

Michigan St. had 3 losses and they were playing better than almost everyone in the country.

Beating Michigan St is a solid win, no matter how you try and spin it. How Florida beat them I do not know.

MHF is in dire need of someone to pat him on the back and tell him his predictions were spot on.

Does Vonation have an Adopt-a-Daddy program?

I will pat myself on the back in March.

Give me a break. If you honestly think that UK, UT, Vandy, and UF/Miss. State are better than Mich. State, Wisconsin, Ohio State, and Purdue, you're even dumber than I thought you were, which is really saying something.

LawVol were you looking at like a 154 LSAT? After the prep course?

The argument has been for some time that the SEC is better than the Big 10. The RPI agrees, and the reason is that aside from the 4 teams you mentioned, the Big 10 sucks.

People on here who think they know a great deal about basketball said that the Big 10 would have 6 teams in the tournament come March. Some here also said the SEC would have 3. I said both predictions were laughable.

The only laughable predictions on this forum are yours. You better pat yourself on the back because no one else will do it.

Mississippi State has played themselves squarely onto the bubble. 4-4 in league and no significant nonconference wins. If Ole Miss fails to take care of business against Alabama tonight, the game at the Hump Thursday night looks a whole lot like a fight for survival.
