Racist Government official

all this discussion about Sherrod and nothing about the members of the NAACP she was speaking to? They cheered and clapped their hands when she was talking about not doing all that she could do for that farmer. By the end, they were sitting on their hands, apparently not liking it one bit that she had an epiphany similar to that of Malcom X after his haj to Mecca.

I think it does make the NAACP look bad, I guess in the video when she initially says she didn't help the farmer with full force, the crowd cheers and applauds.

The thing I don't understand, is when democrats claim they won't appease the special interest groups. That is bascially all they do.

I will say the guy who posted the video should have made it more clear what he was trying to prove. He comes across as a complete ass with an agenda, and at the end of the day is bad representation of the right.

Their agenda is far right. Now, Breitbart is claiming at this point that they weren't given the whole video and they (and their defenders at Fox and Beck, et al) are trying to blame that on the NAACP. In fact, this morning Beck was going so far as to imply that the NACCP did that on purpose, i.e. allowed Breitbart reporter to misconstrue it on purpose so it would blow up nn their face. Problem with that theory being that NAACP originally also didn't have the video.

Bottom line: One of two things is true. Either Breitbart knew that what they were doing in hatcheting this thing up, or, they were all too willing to jump to the conclusion that she was speaking of her use of race in a recent incident (as opposed to her realization on it from 24 years ago) and went with that. Either way, yes, they look pretty bad.

The NAACP and the Obama administration also look terrible here because they were so concerned with public perception of their own relationshipo to the lady that they so quickly tossed her aside without looking at the facts. Concern for their own political well-being trumped their interest in first finding out what was actually said (completely). They, too, look bad.

Hannity looks awful because, like Breitbart, he jumped to the conclusion that the lady was saying that she had done this recently and he ignored those parts of the tape that surely raised some questions about context. He was so anxious to find another reverse racist in the administration for him to bash that he, too, disregarded the truth.

Beck? Well, this morning he proudly says "I'm the only one who didn't run it!" He goes on to talk about how, when first heard about the tape, he just "sensed" that something was wrong. He won't criticize Breitbart (and in fact has come up with this cockamamie theory that the NACCP stregorized the whole thing). But boy is he proud that the timing of the tape release and furor over it was such that he didn't get caught up in it on the morning show or in the evening on tv. He doesn't look bad. Just kind of insane.

The fact is this woman will get her job back. She has made very racial statements and she is in the most racist admin. in US history. No white person could ever make any statements like this and expect to keep their gov't job. Only reason she can is because there is a hugh double standard when it comes to blacks and liberals make racial statements.

i'm so sick of all this racist garbage. it's ridiculous how the far right is racist in just about everything they do, but when the left are called racist then the world is going to end. there are racists on both sides, get over it.

She's losing sympathy from me fast. First we learn about her shading damages from the USDA suit. Now she is accusing Fox of being racist.

"I think they should but they won't. They intended exactly what they did. They were looking for the result they got yesterday," she said of Fox. "I am just a pawn. I was just here. They are after a bigger thing, they would love to take us back to where we were many years ago. Back to where black people were looking down, not looking white folks in the face, not being able to compete for a job out there and not be a whole person."

Beautiful, whip out the race card right after it was used on you. She's learned nothing in 24 years.

wow... she seriously needs some PR help. absolutely amazing that she would make that statement and not realize how it comes across.

For what it's worth, I agree with LG here. Calling her a racist for something said on an edited videotape from 24 years ago is absurd. There is plenty I don't agree with when it comes to the left wing and the pass they get for making racist comments...but this thing is a stretch. The guy who posted the edited videotape, despite his reasoning that he was going after the NAACP for calling the TP racists, should have known the fallout was going to be like this. He really ought to be ashamed.

And blaming her for how the crowd reacted when she was telling the story is simply ridiculous.

How do you think this relates to the Philedelphia new black panther voter intimidation case that was squelched by the administration.

I mean like that wasn't 24 years ago.

just as i suspected. she hasn't changed a bit in 24 years. she still clearly believes all white people are looking down on her.

LG? care to comment?

I agreed with most of this but my view of her is changing.

As I posted above - her immediate reversion to blanket statements of racism against Fox News and the form of racism they are purportedly pushing makes me wonder if she really changed at all.

If one's immediate reaction is to throw the race card and throw it hard, I have to wonder about one's post-racial awakening

I don't blame her for the reactions of the people in the crowd but I will say this, because of the stance so many, like the NAACP, take toward any discussion of race they think is the slightest bit controversial and over the line they helped create the climate that resulted in this lady being forced out.

Again, I dont blame her for the reactions of those NAACP members but I find it very ironic they would cheer the very thing they claim to stand opposed to, prejudice and racism.

Older white men are the new minority

Let's see, no raise for SS recipients this year because there is no inflation.

Everyone believeing there is no inlfation please stand on head and gargle peanut butter.

Anyway seniors will get a $250 stimulus bonus, oh wait, congress voted not to fund that.

And the new obamauncare??? Cut medicare by $500 b.

Your statement reminds me of a scene on Cumberland Ave on the strip back in the sixties on a chilly winter day.

I was sitting on a bus stop bench along about 15th next to an older white guy.

We started chatting and I said I could understand the black power thing but what about the grey power stuff, I just didn't get it.

He patted a bulge in his overcoat and asked, "what do you think that is?"

I said; "looks like a thirty eight revolver to me."

He said; "Grey power."

A guy is wanting to sell a Spanish knock off of a 1911 .45 and I looked at it yesterday, I think I'll buy it.

He has a box of shells to go with it and only about three bullets are missing, that is how many times it's been shot since he bought it brand new.

I'm going to rapid fire a clip and if it doesn't stack I'm going to put in a bid.

Poor white people. They're sooo mistreated and discriminated againts; while the blacks and mexicans take over this great country of ours. And this is truly the most racist administration in our country's history by far. Even more so than the administrations of the Presidents that owned slaves.

One day we'll stop being sucked in by the hatemongers on the far left and right who seek to devide us with hot-button issues such as race while they continue to rob us blind.

Who even implied anything remotely akin to what you're suggesting? The gripe is the unarguably hypocritical bullshiz of the greater media regarding racism.
