I'm not exactly sure why throwing for 36 yards in a scrimmage makes someone "the man", I certainly agree that he would have been more valuable than Casey Kelly.

He wouldn't be further along than anyone we already have on the roster. I don't see what the big deal is. Just because the kid played in East TN? Come on.

Phillips was 10-16 for 120 yards and a TD and he also rushed for 33 yards and a TD. I hope he does big things at Wisconsin...

Against Wisconsins second team defense.

When by Comparison, BJ had numbers that were just as good against a much better defense.

Scout's coverage of UT's recruiting may have just gotten a boost. Coach O is keeping them busy, and they had to hire a new member to thier UT coverage team. He was apparently covering recruiting at Ole Miss when O was there. He claims that he will write at least 2 articles per day on recruiting. (forget this guy's name though)

Seems that this new coaching staff is keeping everyone on thier toes.

Lattimore has now said publicly that Auburn is No. 1 on his list ahead of schools like Georgia, FSU and South Carolina, while Seastrunk has said the Tigers are simply high on his list.

Lex and Sab. I am not going to say Curt Phillips would do any better at UT than anyone we have on our roster, but in these guys defense, he is the real deal. It has nothing to do with me being from East TN either, but I did see the kid play a couple games his senior year at Sullivan South against good competition and he was very impressive. He has good size, speed, and can throw the long ball or bullets accurately. Not sure if he will do it this year or not, but if he doesn't end up being the starter for the Badgers in the near future I will be very surprised. The kid is really good. I would like to have seen him in orange as well.

Randall Cobb is still the REAL big whiff.

O yeah, but given the real need we have for QBs it would have been nice to get the hometown kid. I am still happy we got Teague, because I thought he was going to make 3 in 3 years.

If he were to commit to Auburn, I think that we jump into the lead with Dyer, so it really wouldn't hurt my feelings too bad.

Sawtelle said Kiffin told him that he lacked the explosiveness to play in UT's new offensive system. Kiffin suggested that could be a byproduct of surgery to each of his shoulders last summer.

It's all these James Bryant articles. The man has been busy. I guess they are trying to show that they've improved their coverage.
