I can't believe ESPN missed the opportunity to do a challenge series involving the teams on our nonconference schedule. Can you imagine the hype for a USC-Charlotte matchup? A Wyoming-DePaul game would probably shatter all previously established ratings records for the Worldwide Leader. You know that very few hate Pearl. You also just penned a ridiculous reply. Let the man read and he'll see that this was total trash.
Have you seen the MSU team upon which you're basing all of this UF love play. They look awful right now and UF still needed the refs to beat them. I'll hazard a guess: you didn't see even a second of that game?

Arbitrary standards for elite coaches? That's funny as hell.
Say something that idiotic, then pretend your standards for happiness (vs satisfaction as you so clearly stated) aren't meaningless in the college basketball realm and therefore arbitrary. That's a sweet effort to shift the argument and probably works on your fellow slurpers, but there aren't any fans outside (presumably objective and knowledgeable) our program who would do anything but laugh at you.
Oh, another Hat follower using his Great Leader's terminology. How cute!
Otherwise, your second paragraph makes no sense, just some (attempted) philosophical jibberish. I made a pretty clear statement as to why I was happy with the season thus far, which means it wasn't arbitrary. Try again, or, better yet, ask Hat what you should say.

I'm sure you were this talkative about our OOC schedule last year when we had the top ranked schedule. Oh, I forgot, that wouldn't have fit into your agenda.
WTH does that have to do with anything? As a season ticket holder who lives 4 hours from TBA, I find our home schedule, aside from one game against Kansas, absolutely disgusting. I don't see any argument against that. Even the Nashville game this year is beneath attention.
I don't see how pointing that out is a criticism of Pearl or how it could possibly fit into any agenda, nor do I understand how holding out Charlotte as the one possible interesting matchup before Kansas and the conference could offend so many people.
You are slipping BPV. I'm looking for a college upper-grad level word in your above post and can't say I see one.....You're the clown making up standards to support your guy. The college basketball has has generated its own set of standards. You've been forced to make your own to support your acceptance worldview, yet you're acting as if someone else making them up to beat down our coach. That's patently stupid.
Your time is better spent telling us all about personnel development, #1 rankings and average point production. That's where you reside. I'll stick with how the real world evaluates quality coaches, which has nothing to do with the list of crap that makes you happy.
I wonder how the Pearlophiles are dealing with Griff's obviously anti semitic blog claiming UT wouldn't beat UK if they played today. I bet the Heroes From Hoopsville have already mobilized the Anti-Defamation League to picket the KNS tomorrow morning.Member I'll agree with, unless that makes me unoriginal. You know how using once used words is copycatting.

That is one of the best posts we've seen around here in a long, long time.I think Pearl is a good, not great, coach who has brought UT as far as he can. I don't think he will take us to the next level unless he undergoes a big philosophical change in the key areas that many people have already mentioned and continually mention. We'll be a top 20-25 program as long as he is around, and might finally crack the 16 barrier, but I doubt it.
It's really a catch-22. You have to be thankful for what he has done, but it's growing increasingly frustrating seeing how close the team is from taking that next step while watching the same mistakes over and over that keep them from making it.
