Is geathers gone?

Geathers is more likely to go to South Carolina St. than any D-1 college. He'll be lucky to have good enough grades to get into prep school.

As for the guys we have left.....barring a surprise, it's as mentioned above: Goggans, Sheppard, Riley, Mullins, and Davis. According to people who should know....we'll get Mullins, Sheppard and Riley, hang onto Goggans and it's 50/50 with Davis. Problem is, this year's recruiting has been beyond odd. I can't even trust what I hear to be accurate anymore. It's not that I don't believe who is telling me, it's just that kids are changing their minds or cooling on the Vols a lot quicker and a lot more often. I think some kids like Patterson, Hawthorne, etc. indicated to coaches that they were coming, but changed their minds due to some bigtime negative recruiting. After the season we had and the coaching changes, it's pretty hard to combat that. In the end, we should really appreciate the guys we got because that means they REALLY wanted to be Vols. As for tommorrow, I say don't expect anything. There's really no telling what will happen.

thats what ive seen, but i guess we'll see tomorrow. there is a possibility that we get mullins, goggans, sheppard and davis, but not likely. davis and riley are being recruited for safety, but i dont think we'll get both nor do i think we get sheppard without riley.

I thought geathers was a real stud. I think his dad or uncle are ex-nfl players and he had great size all he needed was to put on a little weight.

I figured worst case scenario he would spend a year at hargrave military academy qualifying to transfer to UT similar to demonte bolden. Why could he not do that?

Just heard on the Sports animal that Goggans may have signed with Auburn. They are trying to confirm.

yep, I have updated the pinned thread at the top. Goggans to Auburn and apparently Riley is LSU and Sheppard is rumored to be LSU also.

outta the top 25 we go. 6 sec teams outrecruited us this year maybe more by athe end of the day. the downward trend continues fulmer can't even do what he does best. :banghead: :banghead:

Where are all the Fulmer apologists who kept saying recruiting was going to be fine? Guess that "strong finish" wasn't there this year. This just expedites the inevitable.

For those UT Fans that thought & worse yet accepted "UT Football" was defined as a come from behind last minute 50 yd fg victory over an outmanned team. Well this is what it gets you!

How does Tubberville have so much success stealing away commitments and soft verbals from us? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

These are the verbals still left by my count:

Justin Garrett
Dustin Lindsey
Jacques McClendon
Cody Pope
Victor Thomas

Then we are also waiting to hear on Davis and Mullins.

The perfect storm strikes again. This is a very disappointing day. Davis and Mullins would be a break in the misery.
