Was that the kid who everybody thought was going to GA or SC but decided to go to Michigan?
Yep, and I doubt we will be playing Michigan any time in the next five years.

Ahem. Allow me :horse: I see 26 departing seniors on our roster. We have 11 commitments. 2 are kickers (which probably should not even count unless they are the #1 rated kicker in the country) and Michael goggins is considered a soft verbal so we may not get him. Just throwing out some info. Carry on please. :horse:

You crack me up. You will be the first one I laugh at when UTK is winning again. Hahaha! Yeah, where we rank in Rivals.com recruiting is very, very important (if you missed it that was sarcasam). I'm sure glad that Rivals.com didn't think Omar Gaither was a big time recruit coming out of high school. Yeah, that dude has sucked.

I hope that your optimism is rewarded but this could really be a serious problem. Richt already seems to have our number. We don't know what Spurrier will do long term but given his history against Fulmer-Cutcliffe it does not look good for us. Now Meyer looks to be getting a group of guys who are skilled enough to execute his offense against SEC caliber defenses. I guess we should all be happy that we still have Kentucky and Vandy in our division.

when we have our 7-4 or 6-5 record next year, will you admit you were wrong rickbol. i see noway we will win 9 games next year or anytime in the future for that matter. the rest of the teams in the sec are getting stronger and better and we are the same lame team on offense. it spells 3rd or 4th in the east for years to come. unless CUT can perform a miracle and if he does i will be the first one saying he deserves a raise, but i don't see it happening.

I would rather play with low expectations, we always do better. The SEC is always competitive but there were 3 or 4 games this year that were very winnable if we would have had a shadow of an offense. I see a decent season next year. Just trying to stay positive here.......Good to be on the board.

Welcome. Glad to have you here.

Didn't Vanderbilt beat us in Knoxville this year?

Just kidding but hats off to Vanderbilt. Without that loss I feel many would have just written this season off as another "if" season. If we hadn't had so many injuries...if we hadn't fumbled...if we had made this fg...if...well you know.

Agreed.

I've thought in the past Florida and Ga had athletes as good as ours or better coming out of high school. With this class however, I think the pendulum has swung the other way. Its going to be hard to finish above 3rd in the east, and the way Spurrier is coming on, UT may end up 4th.

Spurrier kicked his best running back off the team last year before the season started, once he gets a good running back to replace him he will be that much tougher, and he seems to know how to prepare for Fulmer.

Cutcliffe has a very tough job ahead of him.

Patience, patience, patience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :peace:

Yeah. I am waiting for the NCAA investigation though. Seems kind of odd to get so many top commits so early.

Recruiting momentum bro..the Tebow commit brought Harvin and McDaniels in.

For some odd reason we moved up two spots in Rivals team recruiting rankings. Went from #35 to #33 without adding any recruits. I think we jumped because Rivals did not have any rating for Dorian Davis but they assigned him 2 stars after he committed to UT.
