Recruiting Central

Some of the Razorback fans have been trashing Mustain. This board may be a good place to tell him how great the Vols are.

you know, it's just funny...i don't see him coming here for the same reason he won't go to ND...where can he play, now or at least next year? Right now, we got two more years of EA, and hopefully, probably, and additional 2-3 years of JC.

by all rights, we should be set at qb for the next 3-4 years.

Don't get me wrong, i wish the kid would come here, obviously he's good enough to garner the attention and probably to compete for a spot next year possibly....but he could write his ticket at some other schools, especially ARK.

I'll be suprised if he comes here.... :boredom:

what if crompton and ainge have problems for whatever reasons? And as far as recruting goes who cares where your are ranked so long as you get what you need.

Recruiting momentum bro..the Tebow commit brought Harvin and McDaniels in.
Great players draw other great players. Hey 'Bait, getting ready to head to the LA Sports Arena to see the Heels and the Trojans.

I don't know about front runner, but we are still in the mix.

he's a great prospect, especially at a position where we need a lot of help. If he can catch the ball at all, he should be able to beat out some of the starters.

How many of the top 100 recruits have Tennessee listed as a school of interest?

I've only counted 2 in the past. the others have low interest or UT is not the favorite.

It will be interesting to see interest levels after the bowl games.

I dont have an exact count right now, but I am positive it is more than 2. Shoot, Mustain and Warren (he is visiting UTK) are two right off the top of my head. And, there a few others.

#1 OL in the country just gave his revised list the other day and UTK is in his final cut. Smith is the last name I think.

I believe your refering to Andre Smith rickbol. I've watched film on the guy and he is a beast. They have a junior combine (invite only) at the Army All-America game and he was the best junior there.

Hope you had a good time..too bad the Heels didn't show up in the second half. You could tell they've only played one game in two full weeks.

I was just reading about Jai Eugene and he plans to announce at the Army game which would be 6 days before he even visited Knoxville. That's not good.

Plus there was this part...

"They told me if I chose USC they would arrange to take care of my boy," Eugene told the website that covers USC athletics. "I'd go out there for a year, then he would figure out a way to get him out to California."

Providing travel or housing to an athlete's family would be a violation of NCAA rules unless there is a special, rare exemption.

Anyone know any good babysitters/providers in Knoxville? :ermm:

Won't take long for Tim Floyd to get SC moving forward. Carolina looked like a team loaded with freshmen that just made a cross country trip.

Didn't hurt that USC couldn't miss a 3 pter either..I'm not worred about UNC..expectations are still low..atleast 10-12 losses.
