My friend said he thinks we are not trying to show anything for the Florida/Bama game. I don't buy that, think we got serious issues on offense.I just don't understand what's up with the play calling when the players have shown they can execute certain plays. W just haven't called the plays in 2 games now. No wacky formations Heupel is known for either. Just vanilla stuff with the same play call pattern.
"We got 5yds on 1st down again, what do you wanna do now?"
"You already know, run it up the middle, don't ask me again!"
I didn’t need to listen to it to know that. Nico has lost confidence in himself. He looked nervous the whole game. Every shot of him between plays he looked stressed out.
Yeah I thought the second half of the Oklahoma game was a better OL performance than the trash put on the field saturday.God our OL got beat so bad and so quickly off the snap I wouldn’t be mad at playing some true freshmen next week. And bring Dayne back at RT at least he gets some push on run plays
I didn’t quite get on the Nico hype train as some did. I know he’s incredibly talented, but I went to the Citrus Bowl and I just remember more the scrambling than a bunch of amazing touch throws. He’s definitely made some good throws, but I never felt truly wowed as in “that’s amazing.”I’ve been harder on Nico than I expected, but to your point he’s had a pretty rough schedule to start his college career with how this weird schedule played out. He’s played 6 games and not a single one of them has been a P4 opponent at home.
All of his biggest tests have been neutral site or true road games. No big games at home which can be helpful for a young QBs growth. He’s been thrown into the fire early. I mean his first two SEC games have both been on the road.
Yep. And now the media, like the vultures they are, will turn on us and run us down as though they weren’t the ones laying the rat poison in the first place. We got rat poisoned. 100%
Players loved the hype and took it all in for 2 weeks.
They did not keep emotional balance. They did not put in the effort required to get better each day.
Coaches and players got a big dose of rat poison.
He eliminated a violent car jacking thug from our streets. Saved future innocent lives by doing so most likely. Dumba$$ could've dropped his pistol and put his hands on his head if he wanted to survive and do some time. He chose not to.Hey VN we could use some prayers from my son. He is a police officer in Nashville and was forced to use deadly force Friday night. He had only been with the force a year and one day. I will not share the video for content reasons, but if any of you are in LE or similar fields I would like your feedback. Just type in October 4 officer involved shooting Nashville in YouTube. My stomach has been in knots. I am just glad he is still with us. Great kid, graduated APSU Suma Cum Laude. He is a mess as you can imagine.

~5:40 mark says it all
We got got. Their QB made crazy throws. Their DBs covered the best they ever have. Sometimes you just lose.
Hopefully a learning experience for Nico
My love for Tennessee is unconditional.Yep. And now the media, like the vultures they are, will turn on us and run us down as though they weren’t the ones laying the rat poison in the first place.
Butch was right about one thing at least: love is conditional. Don’t buy your hype. Keep your head down and just do your job. They love you til you slip, and then they’ve got nothing but opprobrium and venom to throw your way.
Not talking so much about fans (though there are many for whom this is the case) as I am about the media. Josh Pate, Kirk Herbstreit, etc etc. — they love you as long as you’re winning. My love for Tennessee is unconditional.
Hopefully the players on the team aren’t this softYep. And now the media, like the vultures they are, will turn on us and run us down as though they weren’t the ones laying the rat poison in the first place.

I mean, I certainly worry they bought some of their own hype. A truly elite team, which is what the media was pumping them up as, finds a way to win that game. It doesn’t make them “soft.” They’re a bunch of 18-23 year olds for the most part, after all.Hopefully the players on the team aren’t this soft
