I hated the plan. But when you look at the results, it worked. Only gave up 7 in the second half, 31 for the game. Even better when you consider that we basically gave them 7 with the muffed punt and that our offense couldn't do much the 1st half, forcing the D to be on the field so much.I think it was part of the plan to limit the big play ability of Corral and Ole Miss. Corral took what we gave him, and we gave him a lot. However, our bend don't break defense kept us in the game and we nearly won because of it.
I think we measured our choices vs Corral and the Ole Miss offense and our staff felt better giving him rush yards and medium passes to limit big plays.
I didn't hate the plan.
If the defense got more help from the offense and special teams early we would have put Ole Miss in a tight spot.I hated the plan. But when you look at the results, it worked. Then let’s leave the conference!! We can take our atrocious and classless Fanbase and all of the money that we generate to another conference that will give us a fair officiating crew for each game. It is sickening to have to try to beat the opposing team and the officials every single game, especially games that mean a lot and could propel our program forward.Nothing good is going to come from this. The criticism and consequences are going to be one-sided, precipitating cause is going to be ignored and UT is going to self-punish. I doubt there will be an internal consensus, but one way or another, it will further stress relationships.
It is very difficult to tell. I thought he made it when I saw it live. You cannot see where the knee goes down on the view from the sideline where he clearly stretches across the 40. You can see where the knee goes down on the view from the endzone, but you cannot see where the ball is. I think that he slipped a little trying to cut upfield and if that had not happened, he makes it easily. That was a very well executed play. There’s a crew in the FF, bless their souls, who is adamant he didn’t make it to the 40. What’s the pulse of this crew. I thought his torso landed on the 40
Who hacked into Cat's account? This is about as close to reasonable as I've ever seen from him.1) Corall is still running wild in Knoxville on 3rd down somewhere
2) Best effort I've seen in years
3) Cade, Cooper, and Tiyon being out lost us the game, straight up.
4) If Hooker is out a long time I'm not sure we win 6 games
5) We are playing better than we should with a very average roster
My issue is with the TD they took off the board. Absolutely no defending that call. How do you stop forward momentum whe he’s just standing there? That looked like a trick play. Everyone stops then Corral throws a TD. Do they blow the whistle before that happens???
Hell no they don’t.
What makes it even worse is they didn’t even call forward progression. They said he gave himself up. Absolutely ridiculousMy issue is with the TD they took off the board. Let Milton get lit up against Bama. Odds are TN is going to come close to winning tjay game with all our injuries. If they want to play Bailey wait til the week after so he can have 2 weeks to prepare for UKMilton better be done. Some people don’t have the winning heart and fire. He is one of them and brings the team down. Play Bailey or the UCF QB the rest of the way until Hooker is ok.
I need this.Don’t care what anyone says about us. We are tired of being f***ed with.View attachment 403641
I'll have to time it later. Even forward progression usually should be 1.0-1.5 seconds of fighting forward. There's no way it was that long, he got spun around and our dude was gone. I agree it is completely unable to be defended as an argument/call.What makes it even worse is they didn’t even call forward progression. They said he gave himself up. Absolutely ridiculous
If there's going to be a change a big school like Tennessee needs to step up and be the voice. Hack we've been screwed so much we should do it anywayWish UT had the balls to double bird the NCAA and SEC. Calling officials out and not towing the line. Looks like college football will be into a major shake up with teams changing conferences soon. We've been screwed hard over the last 10 years. Self policing never works, brings on negative attention and investigations.
I am not sure it was that definitive. I do agree it was very difficult to tell, but I am equally sure it was not a full yard short. They showed an angle on TV that allowed us to see where the ball was - it was at his waist. His shoulders and the arm without the ball were over the forty. Unfortunately, the ball was not.
