So my wife was given backstage vip concert tickets to Lynard Skynard this coming Saturday and we are a bit of disagreement on going.
Concert is at 7, game is at 7, and I could give two Brandon’s about seeing Lynard Skynard!!!😬
That's an easy fix----just tell her to have fun at the concert :):)

Need a 3.7 GPA to get into SMU and there’s 700 more students than TCU. SMU’s also a private school and much more stringent in their requirements. And TCU’s not BYU or Liberty. No one’s going to Bible study before study hall unless there’s a student group voluntarily conducting it. I’m cursed with knowing what I’m talking about here. My daughter was a good student and I did the research. TCU was pricey…SMU was practically Ivy League.

Whoa...yeah I've only done a top level dig of information.

I know I had read before that GP was quick to point out how hard it was to recruit kids to TCU cause it being a private Christian university. Didn't realize SMU was more expensive with tougher academic requirements though.

TCU and SMU are both very pretty campuses. I will give them that. I think recruiting advantages between those two ebb and flow, and TCU's window to have the edge is closing unless they hit big with a new hire and start winning. SMU has been very good recently, trending up, and recruiting well. If they can get into the Big12 soon they really could become a read-deal contender in/for the next 5-10 years.

Don't see that happening....not with the recent 4 additions and SMU not being one of them.

The flipside of that is SMU can run the American conference with UCF, Memphis, Cinci, & Houston all leaving for the Big 12.

Coach Mullen, you recruit anyone?

So looks like I was mistaken and SMU & TCU don't really have too many differences. SMU is doing better under Dykes but doesn't play in a Power 5 conference so I guess it's a wash.

Recruiting wise I'd say SMU's only edge is winning & Dykes having a high scoring fun offense.

The one difference I can think of, which may or may not be the case anymore, is that you can expect typical Texas beauties at TCU, but the Southern Millionaires University has Ole Miss-level coed talent.
