It is a great statistic. This question takes nothing away from the statistic, but I wonder how many times he has been pressured this year? It has to be more than most QBs.
On 98 dropbacks. 30% of the time. Only 40 of the 98 times did he attempt a pass.

Of the remaining 58 dropbacks, he was sacked 36 times. So I suppose he got away the other 22 times.

Not too surprisingly, but some of those are coverage sacks too I'd bet - his average TTT was 3.6 seconds on pressured dropbacks. On non-pressure dropbacks, he only took 2.2 seconds to throw.

Now on to the good stuff - of his 40 attempts under pressure, he completed 20 for a whopping 457 yards (11.4 YPA 👀) 6 TDs and 0 INTs.

In short (on the downside) and why HH could maybe use another year:

When HH was pressured (30% of the time) he was sacked at a rate of 37%. That seems pretty high. That's taking a sack about every 9 dropbacks...

Bryce Young (mentioned in the post and yes, probably a better overall runner) was pressured even more often - 34% of the time, but only took a sack 16% of those times.

Fwiw Dobbs also had a 16% under pressure sack rate. I don't think it's unreasonable for HH to aspire to a goal such as this. It would improve the offense that much more (even, say, making throwaways, rather than taking sacks) and improve his stock.

Hit here about 3 weeks ago.
Damn. Youre one lucky sonuva gun. In my area, Blanton, Weller and even Heavens Door is as rare as hens teeth. Our liquor stores are awful. I usually hit a few of the better stores when I'm on a road trip, but timing is always lousy.

OK, Morans. I have a brand spanking new PitBoss electric smoker. I have never smoked anything in my life, except for a few cigarettes that David Ubben peddled to me when I was 11.

I am thinking of starting with a pork shoulder or pork butt (can't type without laughing) but am open to other options. I want it to be as easy as possible and not waste too terribly much money in case I mess it up.

TIA.
Pork butts are easy. I smoke mine at around 225 degrees until the internal temp is 160ish. Then I run the cooking temp up to 300-350 and raise the internal temp to 195-200. This is the temp required to make the pork easy to pull. Find whatever rub you like to put on it.

Where did you compile these numbers at?

I used to keep 10-20 bottles of Blanton's and EH Taylor and break into them sparingly. They were for clients. If I ever found out that a client, especially a CEO/owner was a bourbon fan, I'd gift them a bottle. On several occasions I'd have some guy be like "I love Blanton's, I collect the tops with the letters." I'd found out what letter(s) they were missing and try to gift them that bottle.

Forget an idea like that now.

Thanks for posting. Poses question, is USC a better job than LSU or Florida?

Yes, much easier path to championships than either LSU or Florida. Oregon should be the only real competition in their conference year in and year out, and a one loss PAC-12 team would still have little trouble getting in the college playoff.

People chase licquor trucks?
Yep. They’ll wait at the door on delivery days and come in asking for this or that.
WV abc use to have a public accessible website that showed what stores are getting, and people would show up demanding we sell them X bc the “website” said we were getting it.
I, and come other owners lobbied to have it taken down and they finally did.
We have actually had to call the cops on folks raising hell bc our employees wouldn’t search through the 100+ cases during store hours to find them a bottle.

A few things about the "path to the championship" that gets brought up occasionally.

1) Any Coach worth their salt shouldn't be scared about what path is the easiest to a championship.

2) With the playoff set to change/expand in the coming years, a good coach at a top-12/16 job will always have a path to the championship.

Bourbon craze is out of control right now.
We have 18 liquor stores and tbh, the truck chasers have become a huge pita!
I’ve been on a Old Forestor statesmen and prohibition kick. Great pour and always available.

It’s silly really and I like bourbon as much as anyone. I drink it neat not like those losers who must add ice.

A lot of it is just echo chamber nonsense. Time to chase the next big thing because someone else is also. I find the price to flavor ratio lacking in most cases. At least there are a lot of great cheap options like Old Forrester.
