I just feel that it is a discussion about a topic that no one has any any factual information about….my person said he had heard about 3 players on our team making bank…. One was Hooker…the other one was Baron…. Can’t remember the third one….. there may be more but that was the ones he had heard about…. It could be the reason that Hooker seems to be leaning toward staying…..I don’t think the NIL will have much effect on sports once it calms down… all the teams will be paying players and it will come down to the main things it always has…. Stability, winning, and who can get me to the pros.

We were talking about promoting the future of NIL, not current. And needing an insider to know we do anything good? That's an issue.

As far as if VN should discuss something without already knowing the answers.. dude???😂😂😂

I’m just saying the woe is me thing is kind of ridiculous also it’s already been stated that there are big things in the works for NIL next year. Don’t know why people are freaking out. Lol.

I mean we currently have a top 25 class and are expecting some big surprises soon and this is all on the heels of a coach firing, new system, and investigation conclusion…. So….

Yeah we will be fine. On top of that they are building the new practice facility this year and renovating Neyland Stadium
Ok

To another school that he is going to expect to get him another NIL deal, whether he is really good enough to have one or not.

Ewers family brokered those deals locally in Texas. He left HS early to cash in on those deals. It wasn’t anything Ohio st did in that one. He may actually end up back at TX after spring ball.

Not real familiar with what he did, but doesn't change the point that companies are going to expect to see the kids they are paying on the field. Otherwise you just have some expensive kid on your commercials or whatever, that no one knows.

Edit: And if the kid ends up back in Texas, some Texas school is going to be expected to put him on the field.

Hello ladies and gentlemen of VN,
I am coming to you from the past with an important message that can save your future!

On Monday 11/29 , I started feeling pretty bad, body aches, fever, cough, headache, shortness of breath, chills, and just felt rotten. 🤒 Tested negative for Covid that night. Made an appointment with my PCP for the next day. Again tested negative for Covid. But tested positive for influenza A. (Yes, I got the vaccine)
Received a Rx for Xofluza (new single dose anti-flu medication) within 12 hours felt 75% better. Note that it significantly shortens the course of the infection, but you are still contagious to others for another 5-7 days. 😷

The posts here in the past are too good to skip pages now…I will endeavor to get caught up by Saturday. 😂
Thanks.

Enjoy Monday evening. It was a fun ride.

This approach will be copied by most of the 'big names' and we will follow suit. These NILs are basically ad dollars being spent by companies. ROI will determine how successful the NILs will become and I can imagine all kind go legal jargon put into the contracts. I imagine someone like the Miami QB King loses most of his $$$ due to not being able to play. College players will probably start tweeting/media when things aren't going their way. There are many unknowns, but I agree we need a plan and I am sure DW has something in motion.
Yes...it is supposed to be about ad dollars for players to make something off of their Name, Image and Likeness...what it is in reality is a way for rich fanatics to pay players to play for their school of choice.

A group of Texas boosters and some business I can't remember the name of..Clark Field something or other, have put together a endowment with already 10 Mil pledged toward a stated $150 mil goal. The idea is to give every kid a NIL deal and pay them from the endowment.

I knew that was coming at some point as soon as NIL was allowed.

I look for Texas to undermine their own efforts though. For example: J.R Ewing calls up coach Sark and says, “I put up $500,000 to get Kaleb Headhunter here, now why ain’t he playing? I want him on the field now, etc, etc”. Meanwhile 5star out of high school, Headhunter, hasn’t struck a lick at anything all fall camp or in practice, and may not even be the 3rd best player at his spot.

JMart and Ramone are on the Zone talking about Volnation. I tuned in midway but they are talking about a thread about Clawson. Even mentioning members by username. The only one I could make out was @GA VOL. Kind of a dumb segment. OP was defending coach DC, Foster doesn't seem to care for him. I wanted to call in and tell them the only sane thread in here is the RF, but I'd rather not shine a light in here.. I was not able to find the thread they were referencing. FWIW JMart lurks among us.

he will kill it there

All last season I said no way……now, the longer this goes, I am not so sure. The thought has crossed my mind, if he did go, has Soler ever played first? Either way, and with what they have coming back, they are loaded. With FF, they are a lock. Without him, they still are top 3-5. Never count AA out.
I'll be pissed if they let him go. He should be a career Brave, like Chipper was.

That’s my feelings…. The FBI investigation showed what we all believed…. Money was being thrown around like crazy…. Mark Fox stated that it exposed just a very small amount of what goes on in recruiting.
Exactly, just look at A&M’s class right now. You think 5 star WR’s are committing there because they’ll get thrown a lot of balls and get developed for the NFL in Jimbo’s 1985 offense?

I agree...Pandoras Box has been opened..it is going to he a mess.
