I was outside in my car when a microburst came through the morning of April 26 2011 when so many were killed in Alabama. This tree was a few feet from my car. That’s me in the pic and I’m 6’3”. I could feel the back end of my car being lifted off the ground. That was not a fun 45 seconds. There were hundreds of trees this size brought down on campus. I can’t image an actual tornado. Praying for everyone affected.View attachment 419571View attachment 419572
You work on the military base there in Huntsville? I’ve been there a bunch with all the new construction going on. Pretty neat little nasa setup they haveNo worries. You are right. So, I do not work in broadcast meteorology. I work as a research meteorologist for a company here in Huntsville. I mainly work in missile defense, but I like to keep up with current weather events as much as possible and forecast for them. My main area of expertise is radar meteorology, so I was watching that tornado for around 5 hours last night. The only other time I have seen a storm like that was the April 27th, 2011 outbreak.
Will the last person out of Clemson, please turn out the lights.
You might be able to find some street parking beside/behind the baseball field. Sometimes they have paid spots in front of Neyland. There’s also always the option of parking on the AG campus and riding the bus for free. It’s not close but you don’t have to walk much (just might have a little wait after the game for a bus).Taking my son to his first basketball game today. Any parking recommendations? The closer the better, I don’t mind paying.
