You might be able to find some street parking beside/behind the baseball field. Sometimes they have paid spots in front of Neyland. There’s also always the option of parking on the AG campus and riding the bus for free. It’s not close but you don’t have to walk much (just might have a little wait after the game for a bus).

I've got several friends from college day that live up there. Thank God they are all safe.
So sad. Reminds me of Jackson, TN in 1999 when I lived there. It will forever change their lives. Prayers!

Just devastating.

Pray, donate, give your time to help in the clean up - whatever can be done to help. Pull together and find comfort in the support of one another in times such as these. I pray for the Lord to bring healing, restoration and peace to all who have suffered from this.

I work pretty close to Knoxville. Grew up in East TN and fortunate to work here. Always a fun and challenging job. And @SoilVol, I'm definitely not a Mets fan lol. Grew up following the Braves back in the Chipper Jones years.

Everyone was instructed to say nothing and change the subject if it was brought up. This is in general, not just for his visit. Idk if he was supposed to meet with anyone outside UT afterwards or before, or if he did.

Any talk about an NIL from anyone at the University. There was never any reason for him to expect an NIL discussion from UT.

But I'm guessing boosters have been waiting for him at all his other stops?

Urban Meyer is a coach whose never had to face adversity (in terms of losing). Chalk up another one who would not have done well at Tennessee. Losing makes you stronger. Maybe his assistants should ask him to defend HIS resume.

Josh Heupel meets with media to kick off bowl practice

Josh Heupel's opening statement: with the weather, just want everybody know our thoughts are with everybody. A lot going on with our program. Want to finish out the recruiting class strong. Great opportunity to go practice and go play in a great bowl game.

Josh Heupel: Excited to get some developmental time with our young guys during bowl practice.

Josh Heupel says he is using bowl practice as an opportunity to develops some of the younger players.

Josh Heupel on recruits being able to be at practice: It’s huge. They see the energy. They see their position coach teach. They get a feel for what they’ll experience.

Josh Heupel on Nashville bowl: "I think everyone is excited about what the game day environment will be for our fan base."

Josh Heupel: "We have placed a huge emphasis on doing in-state recruiting the right way."

Josh Heupel on ESP: "It is what it is. I'm excited about it being where it is for us in this program."

Josh Heupel says the early signing period is what it is, but it's good for guys to be able to sign early and be done with the process.

Josh Heupel on Alontae Taylor: "He took information and understood where he would be slotted. A good decision for him."

Josh Heupel on Alontae Taylor: We had a good conversation and made a good decision for him. You want to be able to give good concrete information to kids and Alontae had that. We're excited about his future. He's been a great leader since he stepped foot on campus. Battled through injury the last three weeks of the season and not many people knew.

Josh Heupel said the person that practices the best will replace Alontae Taylor in the bowl game.

Josh Heupel said it's been a good time to get guys healthy and also focus on the recruiting trail before refocusing to bowl prep.

Josh Heupel said 'no' when asked if there's any other guys who will sit out of the bowl game, but there are guys still making a decision on what's best for them.

"I anticipate having a pretty full roster."

Josh Heupel says there's been no other players who have informed him of sitting out of the bowl game. He does, however, note there are some going through that process of gathering information.

Josh Heupel on young players during bowl prep: "You're able to rep more guys. They actually see the opportunity to go out and compete in practice."
