I know we got more time with Velus than we would've but I'd still have loved for him to have had another season with Heup. I feel like prior staff just didn't know how to use him bc = offense is bad, mmkay?

My wife was out of town, but I had neighbors with me in my storm shelter for a couple of hours as one tornado passed 1/2 mile from my house. And another came through afterward that missed us

Glad you're safe brother! Went through that 2 years ago when tornados hit Chattanooga. We were safe and sustained no damage. But a tornado hit less than a mile rom us and we now people who lost everything. Sad and helpless feeling for sure.

Same here! We have a basketball jamboree. Long story short I was planning on being at the gym from 8am-8pm. Walked outside and it was in the mid to high 60s.

Tornadoes are so weird...we saw a lot of crazy stuff in 2010 and 2011 in NE Alabama. In Rainsville a Huddle House was leveled killing over a dozen people and not 100 feet away were some small metal storage sheds perfectly intact. That particular storm missed our house by less than a quarter mile...I watched it as it went by.

I wonder if that was the same one that cut a trail through Bridgeport.

Heck naw. Aint getting 1, lol. They didnt say the price up front. Said avg SUV price. I figured bs and got on the list in case I hit the lottery or if someone wants to buy it in secondary market, may be able to make $5k+. I really didnt think theyd be able to make it through all the red tape and produce an affordable version that's actually safe.

Out of curiosity, what was the house made of? Brick or siding? I have (possibly false) belief that living in a brick house nowhere near any trees is a good way to avoid dying in a tornado. I've never seen a tornado destroy a well built brick house unless a tree fell on it, but I've never really researched it.

It was an older wood frame house built in the 1920s. Funny story we had to fill in the old septic tank. We had it pumped out and removed the top….it was hand dug vertically. You could see the framing marks still in the concrete.

Agreed, but it happened one time all season, seems odd that would be the single rule change that gets made immediately. Faking injuries has been happening hundreds of times.

I would be totally shocked if they start making rules for faking injuries. Simply because someone will actually be injured and they don't want that egg on their face. They will probably go the other way and make a rule that prevents hurry up offenses. That's how dumb they are.

It took me entirely too long to figure out what I was referencing here with the fade-out "Mets" thing.

Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place - Season 1: Episode 2. 2:10 into the show. Backup Mets announcer visits and every time he says "Mets" he repeats himself and fades out, as if there's an echo in a stadium. It's really stupid, and I cannot believe that my brain automatically does it every time I hear "Mets" from a TV show that aired in 2007
